Buick News: Buick Envision: To Import or Not Import?
What I read on the other GM forum was that the new Opel CUV (NG Opel Antara) was supposed to be the "Opel-ified" Envision, but it was apparently cancelled and sent back to the drawing board... I don't know if that means the US will skip this generation of the Envision, or if it will be imported from China just to add a few sales and have a presence in the segment until a NG appears...

Buick News: Rumorpile: What's In the Pipeline for Buick
Omega can eventually underpin the CT5 as it is able to support current CTS sized cars. However, that would mean Alpha can be profitable with 2 or 3 Cadillac models (sedan, coupe/convertible and a crossover or two) plus the Camaro. EDIT - was supposed to quote hyperv6 post #23 above but the quote button didn't work...

C&D Places ATS-V Last in Comparo... for interior??
They'll keep a hold on the size, I think. The way I see it the only segment where they'll be sized between segments is at the upper range where Cadillac seems to have favoured a 2-car approach: CT6 versus SWB flagships and CT7 or CT8 against the LWB variants (and the S-Class specifically).

C&D Places ATS-V Last in Comparo... for interior??
I think the L version will stay a China-only model.

C&D Places ATS-V Last in Comparo... for interior??
1st of all, a 6 points difference in scoring is basically immaterial. However, I think this shows where Cadillac needs to invest next now they nailed the engineering side of things

Real Measure of Success: Cadillac ATPs Up 15% for June 2015
JDN's point was exactly that: while overall volume might drop, ATPs and consequently unit margins will increase. Of course, some of that drop in will be recovered by the crossovers that will slot below and above the XT5 (people should not forget that Cadillac is losing a lot of sales in the CUV segment as they only have the SRX right now).

2015: Buick LaCrosse FWD 1SL (Leather) or Chevrolet Impala 2LTZ?
I'd go for the Impala as I like the styling and also because the current LaCrosse is getting a bit old-looking...

BMW News: 2016 BMW X1 - The First Front-Wheel Drive BMW For the U.S.
Don't mind it being FWD-based (though I still think SAAB should have been bought by BMW to take this FWD-based market and serve as a bridge between the MINI and BMW brands). What I don'ty understand is why on Earth this is X1 while the other FWD-based models are badged as 2-Series, together with RWD 2-Series coupes and convertibles...How hard is it from a marketing and branding perspective to be coherent and offer the 1 names in FWD/AWD and have the 2+ names for the RWD models?
