LOL, they're both round so they copied all other steering wheels except for the flat bottom ones Very well played, Cadillac! There's only one thing I don't really like: the Cadillac badges on the sides... But since the white (sportier looking, BTW) car doesn't have them, that's probably a Platinum badge or something. Looks like Cadillac played its cards quite well with this one

So are you saying the N/A 3.6L couls eventually not even make it to the CT6? No. I didn't say that at all. Keep in mind that if this 3.6 is the CT6's base engine, that means the CT6 will be bigger than a 5-series yet lighter and with a 95 horsepower advantage over the base 5-er. I honestly hope Cadillac does not make the mistake of aiming any of the CT6 variants at the 5-Series segment. The N/A V6 could be an entry-level engine for North America (2.0L turbo will play that role in China), but it could also be the hybrid's mill...The 3.0TT isn't the range topper. It's just the most powerful engine released at the moment. The 3.6TT is almost a certainty and the 6.2 S/C is a possibility. I think it will be a NG 3.6L TT and a NG V8...

No smaller MINI = dumbI don't see it that way: I think that it will be sized between SWB and LWB versions of the German 3 flagships. The "not competing with S-Class" stuff comes from the fact that only the LWB S-Class is currently offered in the US.- 164 replies

It will take the XTS spot in the overall GM lineup.Most consumers shop via price classes, and most have no earthly idea which wheels are driving. CLA and ATS start within $1700 of each other, and both are entry-level models from luxury brands. Strict brand partisans aside, I can't see how you think they AREN'T frequently cross-shopped. If they are, that's not exactly a compliment for the ATS. You don't want those cars to be cross-shopped. That says to me that consumers think the ATS is only on par with what is basically a tarted up, squished Jetta with a three-pointed star on the snout... And it's losing even more sales in the process (CLA is easily outselling the ATS). Sales numbers may not worry you, but this route is more troubling than the sales race with its direct competitors. It's not very prestigious, either. You may want to rethink where you're going with that. Yeah, it means Cadillac can't get the ATS to C-Class status and pricing where it should be. Also, Cadillac is probably selling the ATS lower trims in order to cater for that price-bracket until a sub-ATS appears...- 164 replies

MINI has been incredibly successful and a cash machine in BMW's world. What other brand could sell EUR 40K cars that small? Cutting the MINI model range has to do with not whoring out the brand; they have the FWD BMWs with that 2-Series naming confusion for that purpose
