New Year's resolutions - yours
1. Start Swedish classes ASAP (done - got a call last Thursday and I'm starting on January 16th) 2. Start gathering school certificates, and medical, civil and criminal record documentation (relocation-related) 3. Finish classes by early July, with good grades (got an 80% on my Macroeconomics exam) 4. Start work on my thesis / final paper (I'm leaning towards something auto-related) 5. Stay out of trouble, especially re my boss (I need the salary to finance my studies and relocation)

Dec 2006 Sales: General Motors Corp
I think they'll go for the 'cost structure restructuring, return to profitability, higher shareholder value creation, blah, blah, blah' speech. It's the only thing they can say about being nr.2 without sounding ridiculous.

GENEVA: Opel Corsa OPC
Yeah. But that body kit is the reason this won't replace to my MINI.

GENEVA: Opel Corsa OPC
GM@Geneva 2008 Opel Corsa OPC Corsa OPC: Sports Car Performance from Just 22,560 Euros Top performer: 192 hp, superb driving performance Only 7.9 liters per 100 km Available to order now Rüsselsheim/Geneva. At the world premiere of the 192 hp Corsa OPC at the Geneva Motor Show, Opel announces that the new powerful model is available to order now from 22,560 euros. The compact three-door is the sporty variant of the new Corsa, which has sold more than 150,000 units across Europe in the last few months, and is at Opel dealerships in March. The Corsa OPC’s standard equipment includes body-contoured seats in motor sport design, air conditioning and CD-radio. “With the Corsa OPC, we have a highly attractive product within our sporty model family. And it will especially appeal to younger customers, as the affordable price is complemented by the moderate fuel consumption of 7.9 liters per 100 kilometers,” said Carl-Peter Forster, President GM Europe, in Geneva. The Corsa OPC’s turbo-charged, 1.6-liter gasoline engine continues Opel’s trend toward compact units that combine high performance and efficiency with correspondingly low emissions. The Corsa has a top speed of 225 km/h and up to 266 Nm of torque. The Corsa OPC is the sixth member of Opel’s sporty OPC model family, which includes the Astra, Meriva, Zafira, Vectra and Vectra station wagon. Around 8000 OPC models were sold last year. Opel aims to sell 3000 Corsa OPC units in this year alone. --------------------- http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm/count...sa-opc-revealed The tuner-looks are too much for my taste, but 192hp out of 1.6L is cool!

Both the Roadster and the ForFour are gone. I think they sold the roadster to AC Cars or whatever it's called.

Pontiac G8 Spied?
It can be just that: a larger car that shares the Commodore's wheelbase. I still think the car looks too 'soft' for a Pontiac, though...
-
Pontiac G8 Spied?
Interesting. Could VE/Zeta easily accomodate 2 different SWB wheelbase lenghts? Specifically, I'm thinking that a RWD Impala might generate enough volume to offset the added development cost of a 3rd wheelbase length.

Pontiac G8 Spied?
In your opinion what could this be? If it's the G8, then LOL: giving the Commodore a Pontiac twin-nostrill would look much better, IMHO. Regarding the Impala, I'd see it at around 5.1m to 5.2m in length, but the Commodore is approximately 4.9m long (close to the new Malibu's dimensions), so the Impala would logically fit in as a LWB model.EDIT: could that be a Daewoo?

So, I'm thinking radical thoughts
Those two are on my mind as well (I hate feeling cornered too): 'Relocation' is decided for mid-2008 (might happen sooner) and 'change of occupation' will most certainly happen as a consequence.Think about what skills you need in order to get the job you want, get some training if needed, and most of all try to make things as stress-free as possible.
