  1. I'm not at all surprised with MINI's score: (a) If you get married or start a family, you need a more practical car, (b) the car's reliability is dreadful - interior light switches falling off without being touched, driver's side window constantly getting stuck in the Summer months... The car is really, really fun to drive and if it had decent build quality I'd be first in line to get a new one!
  2. Best place in Portugal!

    supply
  4. Thanks for the reply!I'm thinking is this V8 wouldn't be 'just another GM engine family', but probably the UV8 / Redesigned Northstar.
  5. Parabens ou, se preferir, Feliz Aniversario. A primeira expressao e mais usada em Portugal e a segunda e mais usada no Brasil.
  6. A question from a not-very-mechanically-inclined person: what exactly needs to be changed in an engine block to convert it from FWD to RWD or the ther way around? Engine mounts and what else? If changes aren't that profound, maybe the new V8 can accomodate both FWD and RWD versions, much as the current Northstar does...
  7. I believe this includes both Opel and Saab. I wonder what the break down by brand looks like...
  8. This one made me laugh...
  9. Honda Ridgeline?Would the new vehicle be a pickup based on a car platform? If so, to replace or complement a NG Colorado?
  10. A.... errr..... minivan?
  11. That sucks! But there's definitely a C&G Curse thing going on! 2 weeks ago I had to stop because a car in front of me spun. Next thing I know I hear this slipping on wet pavement noise and an old Astra hits my car. Only minor damage and no one got hurt, thank God, but I'm still waiting for the insurance company's OK to perform the repair job.
  12. I think so too. And if they offer a free repair for all of the vehicles that may have been sold already, they'll generate good PR.
  13. My Mini will be 3 years old in the end of February 2007.
  14. Took me a few minutes to id the car
  15. (i) Refresh of current platformor (ii) The Lambda van, ie, Lutz's BS-ing us or (iii) Prototype based on another platform
  16. LOLWell, the Zafira doesn't have rear slidindg doors. But I have a hunch it might do well in America as a Saturn.
  17. I see lots of you like the big windshield thingy. Am I the only one that doesn't like it?
  18. Corporate radio, but it looks good here. If this had wood around the radio and HVAC controls like the Aura has, it wouldn't look as good.
  19. I liked the white Lamborghini pic
  20. That smaller engine and the diesel would be important outside the US. I hope they make those available.
  21. This means they're evaluating other options. This means they're pulling out of the minivan market for an indefinite period of time.Perhaps importing a future minivan from GMDAT and/or Europe is something that is under evaluation. An EpsilonII-derived S-Max competitor could find volume in Opel plus Saturn iterations, and some GMDAT thing could be marketed as a global Chevrolet. Or maybe they are throwing the towel.

I believe in being nice as a principle. Sometimes you have to toughen up, though. In the end it's 'nice and smart/wise' that wins, but a lot of times it's much easier said than done.
  23. No sedan. I'd wait for a Red-Line with the 2.0L turbo
