GM wants this car to have an 'in your face attitude', hence the big wreath and crest. As with the Malibu, I'm dying to see the whole car. Can't wait!

So where is it?

I related the shoulder line crease to a Peugeot 407 as a basis for the chop, but from the full car photo it seems that crease on the Malibu isn't as curved as it seemed from the spy pics. I now think that the Opel chop was based on some sort of Malibu picture.

So we all know that a redesigned 9-5 and 9-3 are on their way until the end of the decade, and it seems some sort of crossover will be part of their lineup as well. What about models smaller than the 9-3? Personally, I'd like to see two models: a 9-2 based on a future Opel Astra and a 9-1 destined to be a MINI competitor. It seems both audi and Alfa ave approved models to go against the MINI and I'd like to see Saab do something in that 'subcompact premium models' (not sure if the terminology is correct).

Sir Richard Branson is a marketing genious, but he also seems to be a cool guy. I'm glad a brand like Saab can align some of their marketing efforts with his image.Well done Saab! Not give us who love your cars some killer new 9-5, 9-3, models (and eventually a 9-2 as well)

I was driving behind a 407 this afternoon and when the guy turned it struck me that the belt line creases look similar. Maybe it was the easiest image to chop given whatever information sources leaked to WorldCarFans.

I noticed that too. The beltline on the chop reminds me more of the Peugeot 407 sedan than an Opel.
