  3. That's pretty much my experience with the iPhone. I recommend it too Except the IPhone is great at passing on Viruses, removing everyone from Outlook calendar events, does not sync with security proticols and for those of us that are not graphically induced to follow a lemming company on what you can and cannot do confusing. Before the Flame mail starts, check out apples web site as they admit with the iPhone 5 they broke security and outlook exchange email. Isilon a company I work for has plenty of apple products and so many peole have gotten things screwed up due to all the bugs in the 5. I suggest holding off till after the new year if you want a iPhone 5 and give them time to fix all the bugs. Interesting... I'm still on a 32GB iPhone 4. Company phone.

  6. The deal would probably be a better long-term solution than the bailout, but hey... Sh*t happens... The sad ting is that GM seems to be unable to find itself a European strategy that lasts for more than 6 months... :-/
  7. Over here, both CTS (non-wagon) and Escalade have those clear/to-blingy/cheap-looking tail lights... The SRX has kind of a hybrid between those and the red lenses of US-spec SRX, and the new ATS (at least from the pics of the Autobild comparison with the 328i) has red lenses which look a million times better than the ones on the Escalade pic above.
  8. As James Mill put it, "production of commodities creates, and is the one and universal cause which creates a market for the commodities produced.", i.e., supply creates demand. That's BMW's reasoning here IMHO.
  9. Cadillac has a HUGE image problem outside of the US... They need something American, in some ways they need the car version of the Escalade (i.e., something no one will mistake for anything else)... They also need PR, to have a good dealer network and a few other BIG issues... For the US market I would tend to agree with you, but this LTS flagship should be seen as an investment in the brand and not as a stand-alone project wit its own NPV/IRR... IMHO
  10. Those are the Euro-Escalade tail lights... Don't really like them... In fact I think they're

  12. I think it's basically because GM doesn't want to do it; there appears to be no long-term drive except to cater to the ATS/CTS/Escalade crowd... It's a management option to go the way they've gone at it for the last 10 years, but an option without any major opportunity for the Cadillac brand to really restablish itself as a world-class reference.

  18. Perhaps the EPA should certify mileage before it gets advertised on a vehicle's window sticker? Just a thought...
