Diesel, beefier engine are in works for H3
"It's another couple of years out," said one source at GM, who asked to not be named. Why will it take a couple of years? It should be in there for the 07 model year.

Car Spotting
Saw a 86 4 door Cavalier in excellent condition yesterday driven by an old man, then last night I saw a 88 4 door Cavalier RS in very good condition. Saw a 1980 Buick Park Avenue for sale in front of the local service station. The owner of the garage bought this car brand new so I guess he's finally decided to sell it. I might check it out tomorrow. Went by the dealer today to pick up some plugs and sat in an Impala, HHR, and H3 for the first time. The H3 looks like a big Jeep Liberty.

GM Dropped the Ball Again
That's how I became a GM car guy too. It is sad they they will have no other choice but to shrink in the U.S. in order to survive. Let's just pray they do survive.

GM Dropped the Ball Again
I can't believe GM is going to save as much as they say they will after looking at those details. Not exactly anything there that's going to cause employees major financial headaches.

Equinox, the forgotten child?
Click here for more info on the Nox. A pretty cool web site for owners and fans.

Japanese Tarrifs
Five years ago maybe most of the stuff China was producing was toys and junk for Wal Mart and Dollar stores. Now its everything from car parts, electronics, TVs, and washing machines. Middle class Americans used to work in these industries.

Japanese Tarrifs
According to what Buzz Hargrove was saying last month Japan only imports 26,000 American cars a year. They're a lot smarter than us they won't give us full access to their market cause they know any foreign cars sold in their country means less sales for their companies.

US aid in Domestic automakers?
Don't forget about our fresh water, that could be #2 on Bush's list. We also have real beer and the legal drinking age is 18.

3.9L in Colorado??
3.9 was designed for FWD use. Would probably need significant changes to be used for RWD.

Equinox, the forgotten child?
How come I never see anything in this section about the Equinox? I know they sell pretty well. Does anyone have one or know somebody with one? I'd be interested to hear some feedback about the Nox. :)

decided on a G6
So the GTP is going to be a sleeper that only comes out on the weekends. Sweet.

06 Pursuit Coupe
Congrats. Highway mpg will be around 34-35 not in the 40's that's for sure. Why do you think your getting a superior brand name?
-
Japanese Tarrifs
The problem is the government doesn't care about imports and tariffs. I just saw a news story on CNN tonight about the amount of goods being imported from China into the U.S. Something like 100k manufacturing jobs have been lost to China in the past year. To quote Lou Dobbs himself, "The middle class in this country is crumbling and nobody in Washington cares." Sad.

Cool, be sure to give us all the details when you get it. Do you currently have a Cavalier?

US aid in Domestic automakers?
Somebody is in a bad mood. We don't need a powerful military because we tend not to invade other weak countries for no reason except maybe for their oil, therefore we don't have a lot of enemies. I can think of better ways to go into debt for 80 billion. I think you should be worrying about the terrorists who live in New York as oppossed to the ones who live close to New York.

"Rick Wagoner Is Running Out of Excuses"
A fair article.

US aid in Domestic automakers?
GM is in the automotive business not healthcare so they shouldn't be stuck with a bill of 5.6 billion every year, the gov't should be taking care of that. GM should not be paying everytime an autoworkers kid has to go to the hospital for a bleeding nose. Canada's system may have a lot of problems and inefficiencies but at least it takes care of the poor and seniors don't have to choose between food and buying their medication.

Chevy Malibu: 49% sales increase and 32 MPG
Agree with CARBIZ comments about the steering. You have to get used to the way different cars drive. I saw my first 06 Malibu in a parking lot yesterday. It was an LT and I liked the little changes they have made here and there. The seats have a better look to them, gone are the checkered squares of last years LS that reminded me of an old Nova. The steering wheel is nice and the front end is better too. One strange thing I did notice was on the drivers side the body side moulding had a chrome strip along the top of it that looked nice but the passenger side didn't have the chrome strip at all. I think somebody goofed at the plant when this car went down the line.
