The breathtaking Buicks in Chicago
I think the Lucerne really is the new LeSabre...just look at the taillamp design. The LeSabre always had smooth, clean taillamps, while the Park had much more detail. I think a flagship Buick is on it's way! And the Lacrosse? I thought the white CXL with spoiler and chrome-tech wheels was a beautiful car. The black CXS was pretty damn slick-looking too! I really don't understand why people dislike it so much. The Ford 500 and clones are ABSOLUTE CRAP compared to the Lacrosse. On the Ford I was able to pull off the chrome ring around the shifter. It was loose and cheap as hell...total junk!

Thinking abou a Lucerne CXL
Your not thinking razoredge. If Buick put either of the two supercharged 3800s in the Lacrosse or Lucerne, it would probably outperform both the 3.6 and Northstar. Buick was always punished because their engines were just too damn good. Remember the Grand National vs Corvette? Buick would be a much better car company if they didn't have to deal with GM's bull$h!.

The breathtaking Buicks in Chicago
I was just there on Saturday, and I can say Buick is finally getting some attention. The Lacrosse and Lucerne both look very classy in the good 'ol Buick way. The Enclave has a great stance...a winner for sure. I thought the coach lamp was a neat touch that I really hope makes it into production. I think it's safe to say that Buick is back!

Thinking abou a Lucerne CXL
Go to edmunds.com and read what actual Lucerne owners have to say about it. The comments have been really positive.

Lacrosse XM radio question
I've been looking at some new and used, and I was wondering if the factory XM setup can be added. Would a radio swap be needed? Or would I be screwed? I've had XM for a while now and couldn't possibly live without it, and I don't want a seperate unit like I do now.

Buick Lucerne Golf Cart
You have to wonder if those are the taillamps they were going to put on the Lucerne. Notice how LeSabre-like they are.

The Teardown Artists
Screw the hybrid and fuel cell. Why not just make a car that runs on dog poop and banana peels? Where's the Doc?
-
The Teardown Artists
I think GM should buy some of their own products that are 5-10 years old, and then do a teardown.

Pittsburgh Post Gazette Review of Lucerne
I saw my first Lucerne on the road today and I was really impressed. It was a white CXS with the chrome wheels and tan leather. I have a feeling this car is going to do really well. Later in the day I saw a second Lucerne! When the Lacrosse came out, I didn't see one on the road for months. I think this is a good sign.

President Offers Automakers Little Encouragement
WOW...that must be a really freakin' big rock you're under. It scares the $h! out of me to know that people like you exist. And why do Repugs claim to be conservatives? That is such a damn JOKE! Lets see...TRILLIONS of dollars in deficit=conservative? What the hell is wrong with you people? And yes, Bush is in fact CORRUPT to the max. Get your head out of your f%*@&n ass.

President Offers Automakers Little Encouragement
And don't forget that Bush's first oil business partner is Osama Bin Laden's brother...seriously. Funny how nobody seems to know that.

President Offers Automakers Little Encouragement
It's nice to see you still have your teenage head up your ass. And you want to talk about immaturity? What the hell do you know about anything?

Buick Lineup Starting to Look Stale
Why do you people continue to beat this STUPID topic to death. It's like some idiot always has to bring it up again.

Enclave vs RX 330 vs FX45 vs Touareg
Motor Tard will still put the Enclave last in a comparo.

this is why i have anger
As the owner of a '99 GTP coupe, I can tell you this guy is a Grand Prix enthusiast. He has reflective overlays on the "GTP" emblems and the "Pontiac" insert on the lower rear bumper. GTP's are powerful cars that are driven hard when owned by people like that. I think I would know! :AH-HA_wink: If the tranny hasn't been replaced yet, it will need one soon. I have no worry with a 3800 that has 160,000 miles. The 3800 never knows it's old, and it never knows it's a six cylinder when equipped with the s/c. Like others have said, it would probably be best to find a GP OR Regal with high mileage that was owned my an older and more trustworthy person. Sorry!

Helped rescue a dog today
Probably because man and dog have been dependent on each other since the caveman days. Dogs can also sense "bad people". And anybody who suggests that dogs are stupid, are simply ignorant and stupid themselves.

Perfect Riviera on Ebay
My perfect Riviera would be a 1985 white convertible with the dark cherry leather. I would like it equipped with the 3.8L Turbo, cast aluminum wheels, leather sport steering wheel, digital dash, electronic touch climate control, and memory seats. I'd also like a '63, '65, '73, '85 coupe, '88 T-Type, '89, '99, and and '99 Silver Arrow! That's all I want.

It sounds like they really want to build the Velite!

Could This Be The Next CTS?
I think that looks pretty sharp! The wheelbase looks too short though to be a CTS. Perhaps the next U.S. version BLS?

Buick Portholes
No. I was just responding to Chicagoland's post. The only functional portholes were on the '49's, the GNX, and 2003-05 Park Ave. Not sure about the Lucerne. And on the '49 Buicks, the hoses were removed in the middle of the production year. They probably realized they were pretty much useless for significant cooling.

Buick Portholes
The last real factory installed portholes were on the 1980 Electra and Electra wagon. The 1980-1984 Park Avenue had a full length moulding with a porthole design stamped into it. LeSabre last had them in 1979. The wagons last had them in 1980(Electra only). And yes, the 1987 GNX had them, but those weren't Buick factory installed.

2006 NAIAS: Buick Enclave Concept
BuickEight replied to Northstar's post in a topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)Awesome job Northstar! Now can you do the same with an interior picture? I'd like to see the dark brown part in black, blue(like the Lucernce tuxedo blue), ...what else? Burgandy maybe?

2006 NAIAS: Buick Enclave Concept
BuickEight replied to Northstar's post in a topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)EXCELLENT JOB BUICK!!!!!!! Now does anybody know what that thin strip is on the c-pillar? It's really bugging me. Almost looks like an, dare I say, opera lamp.
