  1. Agreed. There are many, many FWD midsizers people consider sporty and fun to drive. The G6 in particular should be FWD, but handle better and not be an Epsilon with a different face. Pontiacs should actually be engineered to be sporty cars.

I pray that the portholes are covered up too. Those are definitely the Aura XR's wheels... no worries...

BEAUTIFUL. GM'S KEEPING IT TRUE TO THE CONCEPT. The interior shot is great. The upper dash is like the conept's. Are the rumors true... it looks like the upper dash is leather just like the concept's!

This is amazing. First, GMC gets a Lambda (professional grade soft roader) to share showroomspace with the Enclave. Now, it'll get a minivan??? I could see Chevy having one, and Saturn getting a plush version of one... that's it though.
  5. I know this is rumor and speculation, but it pisses me off. This is what's seriously wrong with GM. They make good product, and then whore it out to every brand under pressure from dealers. I can see Chevy having a Lambda, because it's the everyman's brand. GMC DID NOT NEED THE ACADIA. Especially when it shares showroom space with the Enclave (though, I STILL think BUICK should have stayed a standalone brand, and could support itself with the right lineup and FOCUS!). I can also see Saturn's justification for the Outlook. However, four Lambda SUVs are big time overkill. Also, GM still hasn't learned to go the extra mile and really make different cars/SUVS on the same platform. The Camry, ES350, Highlander, RX350, and Sienna share NO exterior or interior bits. They share a platform, some suspension pieces, and some powertrains. The G6, Aura, and Malibu is a good example of how to do it correctly. But that's an exception at GM.
  6. Yet another indication that Caddy's on the right track.
  7. LeftLane Cadillac has trumped Lexus as the highest regarded luxury brand, according to a owner satisfaction study by research firm AutoPacific. Last year, Lexus narrowly beat Cadillac for the number one spot. Cadillac had the top rated entry Luxury Car with its CTS and solid performances by the rest of its lineup, the firm said. The top rated Mainstream Brand is Honda. The Honda Ridgeline and Odyssey also got top honors in their respective categories. In rating major segments, Sport Utility Vehicle owners rate their vehicles more satisfying than do Car, Pickup or Minivan owners. This finding goes contrary to popular myth that SUVs are fading in popularity and SUV owners are dissatisfied with their vehicles. AutoPacific previously announced individual vehicle winners. The vehicle registering highest overall satisfaction in 2006 is the Lincoln Navigator Luxury SUV winning top vehicle, top truck and top Luxury SUV honors. The highest rated car is the new-for-2006 Hyundai flagship — Hyundai Azera. AutoPacific’s VSA establishes numerical satisfaction ratings for virtually every car and light truck in the United States. Owner satisfaction is calculated across 45 specific areas related to a vehicle’s operation, comfort, safety and the overall purchase/lease experience.
  8. Interior Pics! It looks GREAT.
  9. Here are some new pics! GMNA can't bring it over fast enough!
  10. I agree with this 100%. Been saying it for awhile. Long with GMC trucks, you'd have a full like of narrowly focuded cars and trucks. It's a shame Buick was tossed aside and thrown in the mix with them.
  11. This should have been done along time ago. They should emulate BMW's lineup and become the everyman's BMW. I still hate that Buick is part of the sales channel. If it's given the right attention, it could easily stand alone with a full lineup of three sedans, a couple of crossovers, and a coupe/vert. Pontiac and GMC should have been paired alone; they're a perfect match, IMHO.
  12. Though I don't think it looks bad, I hate the fact that the same unit is found in ssooo many different brands.

^ I like it alot. If this rendering holds true, kudos to Honda. The resemblence to the Civic is there, but it's execution is nicer here than on the Civic Sedan, IMHO. The wheels are hot too. Can't wait to see what the next TL will look like.

  15. The side profile has much more character than most of the competition; notibly the Camry and Accord. The size is right, and the rear isn't half bad. The Sebring may have a fighting shot in this cutthroat midsize market. If it's successfully posititoned as the younger brother to the 300, it may be a hit.
  16. This is great news. The 3.6-Liter VVT Engine With DI should be the standard V6 in every Buick and Caddy V6 application. 307HP for Caddy, 295HP for Buick. Similarly, Caddy should get a V8 pronto rivaling the LS's 4.6L V8 making 380HP. Again, Buick should get a version of it, detuned 10-15HP.
  17. The Astro and Safari were truck-based vans. Lambda is rumored to be used for the next gen of GM vans. The first supposed real comeptitor to the rest of the compeititon.
  18. titan replied to wildcat's topic in Buick
The Enclave should be as refined and elegant as the concept. I hope the little things, like the satchel-like pockets behind the front seats, make it to production. Truly, Buick should pull out all of the stops for this one. It can truly be the conerstone of a real revitalization.
  19. I think once the two key bread and butter vehicles come here (Aura and Outlook), and the sell well, success will be had. More importantly, it's proof of how amazing quick GM can turn a brand around if it puts it all into it, with the right product and right marketing. What's more amazing is that Buick has continued to be neglected. Hopefully, the Enclave will be the a real turning point (read: the Lucerne is not) for the company.
  20. titan replied to bostonspider's topic in SAAB / NEVS
It's a hawt sketch. Very, very cool... and totally unique to Saab. They need this as the next 9-5 really badly. I hope the next 9-3 is as good looking.
  21. Agreed. The CTS Coupe name sounds fine to me. As does the G35 Coupe. Look at BMW. The were going to call this next gen 3 Coupe the 4-Series (younger brother to the 6 Series), with all coupes having even numbers. The decided to keep the 3-Series coupe monikor because the M3 brand is so strong.
  22. ^ OFFICIAL PICS. It's simple; as Ven said, we NEED a car like this.
  23. LeftLaneNews: "The first official images of the 2007 Opel-Vauxhall Corsa have appeared online. Details of the new engines are not fully available, but a 180 horsepower OPC/VXR version is expected to be offered. The unveiling of the car is particularly interesting because some observers believe a Saturn-branded version of the car will be offered in the United States. Images after the jump…"
  24. My thoughts, precisely.
  25. I agree. I really hope they don't skimp on the Enclave's interior. That said, I see the Enclave as more of a lux compeititor. This thing will compete more directly with Acadia and Outlook, IMHO.
