  1. Seen it! Man, this thread turned into...well, what I expected I guess...I mean, I posted that link for you guys to enjoy and get a good laugh out of, but I guess the confessions just came naturally from everyone else...Leave it to the woman though to get her panties in a bunch... BTW, Nos, sounds like you had a fun night...did you get to finish up at all? Or are you struck with a major case of blue ball? Oh, and how the hell do you melt a radiator hose?
  2. http://www.srtforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=241098 just remember... :rotflmao: I have yet to be caught doing the "deed"...*knocks on wood* (...no, not that wood... )
  3. :rotflmao: More cushion for the pushin'!

Yea, but, at the end of the day, it's still a Lambo... :AH-HA_wink:

I can't answer as far as K&N drop-in filters go in the performance department...I can't imagine there are any significant gains...Though, they are good filters, you can clean them and reuse them, and they filter pretty well. Only drawbacks I know of is that you have to oil them...after a while the oil can create a thin residue/layer on your MAF which would throw off readings...nothing a little carb/brake cleaner can't fix though.

Here are some snapshots of me after a long night of getting crunked in Santa Barbara with my Bimmerforums buddies after Bimmerfest... I didn't look too good, but after that night, nobody did...I just managed to get away from it without a hangover...good times.
  8. I still don't get why everyone is so fascinated with this? We have already seen it in the form of the Opel Antara, and that was quite a while ago. These images are exactly the same with photoshopped saturn badges on them. We know Saturn is going to be the US Opel, so what's the suprise?

Can't wait to see more...if there is a Japanese manufacturer I like, it is Nissan/Infiniti. So far, so good.
  10. Uh, when referring to a car, rims and wheels are the same thing. That's the way the term has developed. When talking about a bicycle, well, you would be correct, it would be the outer portion which holds the spokes in conjunction with the hub.And regardless of how good the original wheels look, generally high performance versions of cars have different wheels than their base models...C6 and C6 Z06 for example. It helps to differentiate between the two models. I don't see why the same can't be done with the Sky/Solstice variants...
  11. Cool, but they couldn't put new rims on it? I mean, it looks good, but I feel they could've done more...while I don't mind the chrome, maybe they could've went for a brushed aluminum, and maybe they could've done a bit more with the interior as well. I mean, it's a great car and a great looking car, don't get me wrong. But come on...a performance version shouldn't get its own distinct rims?
  12. Wow...where have I been? Happy belated B-day guys! EDIT:...technically, it's still your b-day...C&G hasn't gone through the time change yet...not for me anyways
  13. Haha...wow...quite an effort on GM's part... The Antera concept was great, so this is great as well, and being that Saturn is now the US Opel, I guess it only makes sense, but what did they do? Just change the badges?
  14. Not a bad transformation, but one thing that kinda bugs me is they kept the LED taillights and ditched the projector headlights...now, I love the taillights, but why would they ditch the projectors?
  15. Not bad at all, but gawd, just think about how that center stack would look like without nav! Not that it even looks all that great with nav...

The gallardo is no slouch...it has a bit more hp than the Z06 but about 100 lbs less torque. From a roll, weight doesn't play as much of a factor. From a dig, due to the gallardo's awd I could see it getting a quick jump on a Z06. But the jump it got on those runs are probably due to gearing most likely...The gallardo was in a pretty high rpm range when it started. I don't know how fast they were going when they started, but I'll assume it was around 60-70 mph, so a 2nd gear roll for both cars with the gallardo being in it's peak power range due to the gearing and the vette's rpms being somewhat lower in comparison...then again, the LS7 has a pretty flat torque curve...I dunno...I'd have to see dyno sheets to really determine this.
  17. Yea, that's like Children of Bodom. They are a heavy metal/death metal band, and while their vocals consist of screaming, the instrumentals are amazing and they have a fantastic sound.
  18. The only escalades I have seen are white.

You guys all get bent out of shape and cry "Bias!" when a GM product doesn't win in a comparison. I read the article and it came out as I expected. H3 won for exterior (which makes sense...the FJ is ugly). There was a tie on the interior, which I can understand, while the H3's interior is much nicer, I could see the FJ's interior as better for offroad adventures and heavier use and abuse...the kind of interior you could thrash around in and not worry too much about it...granted I'd take the H3's interior, so it is mroe or less speculation, but they both have their ups and downs. As far as ride and handling go, I can't comment much being that I've never driven them. Other than the Yota's "supposedly" better rack and pinion setup, it seems the ride and handling department came down to wheel and tire sizes, which are a pretty easy fix if that's what it takes...Then there's the powertrain, well, that's an obvious win for the FJ...I think we all can agree the 3.5 is not really suitable for the H3...maybe that's a little harsh, but I think we can all agree it should be better. According to the article, the safety win clearly goes to the FJ as well...no bias, just fact. They were dissapointed with both vehicles in terms of safety, but the FJ comes with more safety options. I just don't see the bias in this...I mean, sure, there were a couple lines that seemed speculative, but all in all it seemed like a fair review.
