  1. I'm just using the Bimmers as general size comparions though...I could do the same thing with the c,e, and s class as well...The problem is I see these cars being compared against different sizes...Same goes for the G35...The G35 is compared to the 3er all the time, but in terms of size it is much closer to a 5. I don't get it.

  3. In my opinion, all caddy's model proportions are screwed up...I mean, the CTS-V is always compared against the M5, but in other comparisons it goes against the 3 series, but the size of it is in between that of a 3 and 5...then there is the sts-v which is more in between the size of a 5 and 7 rather than a 5...maybe more of a CLS competitor...I dunno...the models seem oddly sized...

I was able to get a years subscription to road and track, car and driver, and motor trend for 8 bucks...so I bought it...Other than that I also have Auto Aficionado which is a very nice automotive journal which many of you would probably enjoy...It is kind of new, infact, I know the guy who makes it and my name is even in a few issues...I help out on it...It's a really nice, high end magazine...a bit on the pricey side, but deffinitely a beautiful mag and well worth it. Like I said, you guys would be interested...a nice mix of classics, high end cars, and exotics from all eras.

  13. Same goes for Courtesy Chevrolet out here...Their service department is horrible...Hell, the entire place is horrible...wanted to go look at some cars, a couple of salesmen were just standing around talking...I was asking them about Silverado SS's and Camaros and Vettes and they wouldn't give me the time of day...stupid pricks...

lol..."Pink Hollow"? I can think of something that immediately comes to mind I love PF...they are truly an amazing group...their sound was deffinitely revolutionary...they are very distinct and there is really nothing quite like their style of music.
  15. Well, they could mess around with the mini platform I guess...well, maybe for the 9-3 atleast...well, maybe not...The problem is, I can totally see Saab being a niche market type of vehivle with just 2 models at most and a couple variants of each, but with the way GM sees Saab and the media sees Saab, I think they look at Saab as more of a volvo competitor, therefore it needs more cars...I'm not saying it does, but I'm sure that's what others are saying. I'm sure GM would love to have Saab as its version of Volvo, but at the moment, saab seems to be going nowhere, and fast. I like Saab's, but unfortunately they just aren't getting the publicity they need it seems.
  16. To pass off the brake problems on these trucks is rediculous...I remember our Suburban had horrible brakes. I hear these complaints all over. It is common knowledge the brakes on these trucks blow...My friends who drive them have the same problems...It was and always has been a major issue for the longest time and it seems not much has been done to fix it.

  19. Maybe "full line" was the wrong choice of words...In my opinion, the Saab line should resemble the Volvo line. And regardless of how many models Saab has, there are still many more Saab model variants than Mini for example.

  22. I would guess they could revive saab, but the thing is, BMW owns Mini and owns (or atleast is partners with) rolls royce. Both of which are car lines with few models to worry about and their markets aren't huge, especially RR. Mini has significantly more output than RR, but it's no full model line..it's mini, not much to it. Saab is a full car line, and it would take much more investment on BMW's part I would think. BMW brings in a profit, but they do have their own cars to worry about. They don't nearly have the capacity that GM does and I doubt it would be in their best interest to take on Saab. Then again, I would think Mini basically runs itself now and is pretty much self sustaining...don't know much about RR but I can't imagine BMW is dumpin that much money into it for R&D and whatnot. Now that I think of it more, BMW could possibly take on Saab, but it would be a slow process I would think, and it would probably be a while till you saw a SaaBMW hit the streets.

  24. Wow, that thing is pretty cool!
  25. They are 19". 19x9.5 in the rear, 19x8.5 in front. They are riding on 275/30's in the rear and 245/35's in front. Be careful with modification though...once the fever kicks in, it is very hard to stop...believe me, I know If you want to start, or atleast look into some stuff, let me know. With the Bimmer forum I go to, there is a plethora of information and links, and their classifieds section is always worth a look as well, so I know where to get the best deals as far as aftermarket/oem stuff goes for our cars...just hit me up. :AH-HA_wink: BTW, nice choice in color as well. While I love E39's in black, I'd deffinitely say alpine white is possibly the best color for any BMW. I would even venture to say it makes the e65/66 7ers look good 68: Ok, I'm anticipating your arrival. Can't wait to open her up in the canyons and see what that baby can do
