SRX Rebadge...
It actually makes the SRX look quite goofy. I really want to see a refresh of the SRX now...

New Austin Healey?
I am almost 100% sure that is a Solstice chop.

Hyundai Accent SR Concept
How was the movie sympathetic to the Japanese at all? As far as I can remember, it was shown as an unprovoked attack...

2006 Mitsubishi 380
Man... that's so much more boring than ours.
-
Evo Concept X
They're following Audi into "Ridiculously huge grille" territory.

Kia
I like the Kias funky styling, with the exception of the awful awful headlights.

Why do you buy a car?
Sixty8... I might as well have put your name beside number 5 when I wrote the survey. Seriously, I can't believe there was a debate. :P

Mitsubishi Concepts
El Scorcho: Japanese home-market SUVs all have that wierd hood mounted extra rear view. Don't know why.

2006 Mitsubishi L200 Pickup
Wow!! They moved away from having every bloody line horizontal or vertical, as it has been on pickup trucks since the dawn of time! The cut between the cab and bed is a *gasp* curve! The bottom of the window is also a curve... The headlights are not square top-to bottom... I really really like this, and I generally have nothing nice to say about pickups or SUVs.

Are the Backstreet Boys calling GM white trash?

Yenko (Please Explain)
Cool... but what is the connection between Yenko and Japan?

Are the Backstreet Boys calling GM white trash?
Has anyone seen their new video? It's a cheeeeeezy ripoff of '80s metal band Sphincter... they are riding around in a 3rd gen Camaro at the beginning, with t-tops and rear glass removed so they can all jump around in the car and act like morons. Then they get to the concert, and there are more "white trash" metalheads outside. There is a 2nd gen Firebird, a '70s or '80s Silverado, and a '70s Corvette doing donuts. Also in this video is possibly the scariest woman I have ever seen, doing a "sexy" dance on the hood of a Fiero. Sorry about your eyes BV.

GM Canada & Union Avert Strike
Good. The Canadian media was having a field day with the strike looming, it was everywhere.

Why do you buy a car?
I realize this is an oversimplification of the car buying process, but it is an important factor. Just wondering what you guys think. Myself, I am Practical. The Cobalt was one of the best choices of the economy compacts, and the "cool" back end and yellow colour were extras... I like them, but they didn't make my decision.

First gen F-bod vs. 2nd-4th
Why was the first gen only 3 model years and the other 3 generations were 10 or more years? I've always been curious about this...
-
Yenko (Please Explain)
I know I could look this up on the net, but I'm sure Sixty8 could summarize this better... I know they make first-gen Camaros, but why? Who are they?

Automotive "trends"
Sitxy8 was talking about the miniaturization (de-stroking) of engines being a "trend" that was supposed to continute into the '90s... Are there any other "trends" that the auto rags preached that you bought? What were they?

HE... what the heck is that car in your sig? It's bugging me...

'06 Lacrosse improvements
The Canadian Grand Prix dash goes to 280 because of the km/miles thing. Wishful thinking much?

Imports in the GM parking lot
I used to work for Bell Mobility. While there, I got a Rogers cell phone. Is that wrong?

Dodge
Chop? Isn't that pic just the current Stratus? Not sure, since they don't sell it here...

Sexual Preference
No, because I don't believe that being gay is genetic. I'm just offering an argument for those on the board who DO believe it's genetic - it still doesn't mean that gay people are going to disappear.

Americans Favor Oil Company Taxes
Went and checked out 40mpg.org. Their savings calculator really doesn't say much for hybrids, when compared to my Cobalt. My real world mileage average (highway with traffic jams and city) is 36 mpg. One highway trip from Hamilton to Toronto (about 80 km, about 300 m downhill) was 46 mpg!! Anyways, here are the results from typing my 36 mpg, $3.25/gal (about what Canadian gas is) and 20k miles/year into the calculator: If you drove a car of any type that achieved 40 mpg fuel efficiency, you would ... SAVE $7.52 each month $90.28 each year $902.78 each decade BURN 2.31 fewer gallons of gas from Middle Eastern oil each month 27.78 fewer gallons of gas from Middle Eastern oil each year 277.78 fewer gallons of gas from Middle Eastern oil each decade EMIT 46.30 fewer pounds of CO2 pollution each month 555.56 fewer pounds of CO2 pollution each year 5,555.56 fewer pounds of CO2 pollution each decade If you drove a hybrid car that achieved 50 mpg* fuel efficiency, you would ... SAVE $21.06 each month $252.78 each year $2,527.78 each decade BURN 6.48 fewer gallons of gas from Middle Eastern oil each month 77.78 fewer gallons of gas from Middle Eastern oil each year 777.78 fewer gallons of gas from Middle Eastern oil each decade EMIT 129.63 fewer pounds of CO2 pollution each month 1,555.56 fewer pounds of CO2 pollution each year 15,555.56 fewer pounds of CO2 pollution each decade

Sexual Preference
As far as the "gay people continuing their line" argument goes - EVEN IF that were true, that being gay was entirely genetic, which I don't believe, what about sperm donors and the women who use them? Who says the donor isn't gay? Who says the sperm user isn't a lesbian wanting a baby?
