dating & racism
You have to be somewhat shallow when picking a mate though. I have black, brown and native friends because I have no problem with them as people and no problem with their cultures. However, it's very rare that I'm attracted to a woman from any of those races. Is that racism? I don't think so. I mean, I can't see myself with a white or east asian woman that I wasn't attracted to either.

dating & racism
Race and culture are absolutely two separate things as FAP has said, and people may have dating preferences in both, either or neither of those categories. For example, racially I am only really attracted to white and east asian girls. There are exceptions, but that's the general rule. Culturally, however, I am more open than most people. I dating a fairly fresh off the boat Chinese girl once and had no problems with it.

Alright, so this is pretty much exactly the leaked drawings that Jalopnik posted months ago. I remember Oldsmoboi telling me at that time that Cheers and Gears would "not be taking part in the Jalopnik Corvette hoax" when I tried to post it. So I'm curious now as to whether he thought the Jalop renderings were fake, or if he was just covering for GM.

- Can You Identify This Gear Shift?
Update: he says its a tractor. Does this help?- Can You Identify This Gear Shift?
This is not a joke. It's from a friend's Facebook account. He says its not photoshopped other than colour and contrast tweaks (he's a pro photographer). Apparently it's from an abandoned vehicle, all he gave me so far is the location. I asked him for more info, I'll lt you know.- Can You Identify This Gear Shift?

Still don't understand why people care so much about visual design of interiors... None of these even seem that good or bad or even memorable to me. As long as I can find the functions I need, I'm happy - and you can't judge that from a picture.- Why are US engine sizes metric?
You could have accuracy in liters too. There's no rule that says you have to stop at one decimal place. They could easily have said that my engine was a 1.364 - or even stuck with cubic centimeters or millilitres (which are the same thing) and called it a 1364.- Why are US engine sizes metric?
Some of the engine sizes are really funny as cubic inches, because we're used to hearing cubic inches only for old muscle car era engines. Mine's 83! LOL- Why are US engine sizes metric?
Steak would be measured in grams or kilograms... which is our weight measurement, just like your dry ounces or pounds. Milliletres or litres are for liquid or volume, like your liquid ounces or gallons.- Why are US engine sizes metric?
I know it's been done that way for a long time, I'm just wondering why... The US has not bowed to international pressure on many other products, the only metric I can think of in the US are 2L pop bottles - and they're still labelled as 67.some ounces.- Why are US engine sizes metric?
Simple question: Why did the Big 3 (or anyone else selling cars in America, for that matter) switch from cubic inches to litres?- Cavalier Z24?
dfelt - I don't think that really tells us anything, as the 2.2 Ecotec replaced the earlier "2200 OHV" engine - both were the same size. From wiki: 1998–2002 – 2.2 L (134 cu in) 2200 (RPO: LN2) I4, 115 hp (86 kW) and 135 lb·ft (183 N·m) 2002–2005 – 2.2 L (134 cu in) Ecotec (RPO: L61) I4, 140 hp (104 kW) and 150 lb·ft (203 N·m) However, I'm 99% sure that my '01 had the 140 hp engine, not the 115 hp engine.- Cavalier Z24?
I'm a little confused about one thing... everywhere I see information about the J-bodies, it says that the engines were updated in '02. However, I'm 99% sure that my '01 Sunfire had the 2.2 Ecotec. Can someone confirm or deny that possibility?- Question for Oldsmoboi
He's clearly going to see Primus... MY NAME IS MUD!!! chukkitta chukkitta BAM chukkitta chukkitta BAM Thanks, now I'm going to have Primus stuck in my head all afternoon.- Volt Owners Love Their Cars Inappropriately
Oil discovery can happen in any nation on earth. If you believe there is some conspiracy, consider this - if some particular government, say for example the US government, was controlled by people who wanted to manipulate the findings, then discoveries in that country would drop. However, why would that stop, say, Saudi Arabia from failing to report their findings? I think the hard truth is that new oil is getting harder to find. - Can You Identify This Gear Shift?
