Its just in my genes I guess. My dad was always a Chevy nut and my mom was a car nut too. She used to drag race in her younger years, and her parents bought her lots of badass rides. It just started in childhood, then in high school, boyfriends with cool old rides and helping them work on them, then I married a mechanic, it just continued from there, and now I work in the field.

That was fun, sorry I pooped out so early, I'm a lightweight. It's been a hell of a week, glad its Friday. The video for Psychosocial is one of the best videos of all time hands down. I'm so excited about the concert. I've never been a big fan of female vocalists from any genre, I prefer male voices, but Otep is just impressive as hell. The new Disturbed album is equally as good as their first, I would agree on the other 2 albums being a little weak. If you haven't listened to it you should. The Jonathan Davis look is cool. I love Korn, I guess my biggest thing with them is they are unique, I love bands that have their own thing going, own sound and not just vocally. I have a big crush on Jonathan even when he's in a chubby phase. LOL I'm trying to cram in replies to everybody in one post. This was a fun one, wish I would've stayed up. I could gush about my favorite bands all night.

I like them both. My kid said to search for Arch Enemy. Wow!! Um, its awful, LOL. Otep is cool. That bitch is impressive. K, I'm goin to bed. L8R

I do at work just because we deal with SO many. The 'burb, cavi, bonne and Avi. And some we have names for like the Caterable, the taco (Tahoe), pimpala.

Why not add a tax to pornography online and offline and the toy stores? LOL They'd make a ton. HEHE

I agree about the need for better customer service i.e. loaners, etc. It makes me wonder if the imports get some financial help from their respective manufacturers in that regard. Our insurance company won't allow us to provide loaners due to a nasty accident in one years ago. The overhead in our shop is unbelievable!! The cost of the techs, and the equipment that regualar shops can't or don't have. Our heavyline alone is 6 bays and isn't enough. A goodwrench type service station would have to be enormous or there would have to be a ton of them. The problem right now is there are no new technicians and the older ones are retiring. It's REALLY bad. Kids aren't coming into the field even though it actually pays pretty well if you're good and work for a dealer. It would be tough, the next few years will be very trying for all the dealers regardless of make, worse even for the imports due to a lack of parts availibility, nobody wants to work for the imports because all their jobs just sit and they can't run any hours. There is sooooo much to it all. It's so much more complicated to run a dealer service department than a regular shop.

He's in a lot of my pictures, he's always glued to me when I'm home. I have framed 8x10's of him on the mantle. LOL I love my Boston Spaniel!!! He's beautiful, got the best of his momma and daddy.

That's the center of the universe and he's sleeping in my lap as usual, he's been treated like my child since birth, he's a little spoiled. LOL

They get their money from the rebates and advertising money from the manufacturer, they do make money believe me. The only deals they really don't like are house deals, like employees, but they still make something. The margins are far, far better on used especially on certain models. We made a killing of Caterables for a few months. LOL Most salespeople get 25% of the profit, we pay ours 50%. We don't have near the turnaround as other dealers. My dealership is an enigma, we have more lifers than I think anybody else in all departments, and its also blackhole, we tease when people quit that they'll be back because not even light escapes. LOL

The margins are better on used for sure, but it would take alot of changes. Only dealers can order parts from the manufacturer, only dealers can perform warranty work, you have to have a service/parts department to sell new cars. The Big 3 are so set in there ways and GM especially is run like a small government, they have more red tape and paperwork and bureaucratic bullcrap than any other company I think. It would be one hell of a shakeup and a whole new way of thinking, it would take a lot of fresh meat up top to pull it off. And I agree the Goodwrench name and AC Delco are both underused.

What a car!! May not be the most elegant or beautiful design but man oh man what a statement for what Chrysler was. Jay's great, maybe he can help save us all from clunker laws.
