  1. How on earth can you tell? its so pixelated. her face is composed of like 75 pixels at most
  2. Uhh probably some of the Airlines. Chrysler for a while (their bailout was just a smoke and mirrors ch. 11). Tropicana resorts or whatever its called K-mart
  3. Yeah but its just easier to pin blame (or give credit) for EVERYTHING on/to the president. See Bush. This has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. When you are in a weakened state like this you need to ATTRACT as many customers as possible, not just SOME. wtf kind of logic is this... this is almost as stupid as the "ill just cut my front office workforce" idea to cut costs. Sure it cuts costs, but it makes customer service so awful that you lose more money from lost sales than you gained from cost cutting.
  4. The new Focus looks SO awesome. I bet it handles great too. plus, 6 speed manuals standard!!! Yayyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!1111oneoneeleventy
  5. You are right, this is not the UAWs fault. Because it is GMs fault for giving into contracts which so obviously were bad for them in the long run. Although i suppose one might argue that it is also the UAWs fault for failing to see how to maximize the company for all involved but i digress. This problem has stemmed from years and years of easy money, which lead people to create new stuff to get more money because all the regular customers have already been solicited thanks to the ease of money. The higher banking institutions don't care if everything topples down around them because it wont be on their shoulders, it will be a Federal Reserve "social" problem. So clearly the root of all the problems is in fact the Federal Reserve. As to the Ch. 11, i HIGHLY beg to differ, GM is in a WEAKER stance to go through Ch. 11 now than if they had simply gone through it in the first place. Your bargaining chips are somewhat diluted when you got the government holding your hand. Why stave off the inevitable and prolong the suffering of your own company?
  6. There are still ways to entice manufacturing back to the US and drop employment substantially. None of them will ever be put into effect. So everyone better get their college degrees and get ready for a wild ride. I feel that this announcement will cause at least some people to swear off GM.
  7. Yeah that's generally why there is a judge who presides over it. It is no different than any other company who goes Ch. 11
  8. You know, why hasn't carbon fiber tech hit super high scales and come down in price? You would think that the automakers would be demanding lighter and strong materials for their cars to improve gas mileage instead of keeping making them heavier.
  9. 7th one... Sean Connery

  11. Oh i just thought of a 6th. The guy from the Ministry of Silly Walks.
  12. Ermm... a hybrid bicycle? Wouldn't that make you tired really fast? I mean you now have to not only drive the wheel but also charge the battery.
  13. you could always build one of them human powered vehicles that go like 40+
  14. I had always heard that Honda's were sportier than Toyotas. But i guess if you dont like high engine RPMs you probably wont like Honda 4 cyls.
  15. Lol i like that dodge one.. caption below the 37 highway and 24 est it says: "use EPA est. MPG to compare. Your Mileage May Vary. Actual hwy. MPG lower. CA ests. lower." Anyways Chrysler needs to dig up their old research and build a new turbine car. Thing runs on anything, talk about an alternative fuel using car.
  16. Chuck Norris Dave Chappelle Peter Griffin Captain Murphy from Sealab and the neighbor guy from office space
  17. What you got those hooked up to? the main battery? Looks pretty cool.
  18. Really? 78 is like the best water temp! Of course your talking to a guy who thinks ocean water temperature is perfectly acceptable.
  19. Nothing worse than a warm pool.
  20. Yeah i don't remember it all that well, its been a while. I will see if i can't dig it up on the web later on today.
  21. Well Croc, i don't know, i come from a younger generation who feels like a lot of these problems are the result of the older generations. I guess i don't have the same life experiences as you do and therefore i cannot understand where you are coming from as well. In my defense you said I guess the necessary thing is what got me. As for the closet racists, i had a class where we say a test of peoples racism. People were generally categorized into 3 spots... the non-racists, closet racists, and blatant racists. Now, obviously a lot of people responded that they were non-racists, however the test proved otherwise. There were also some people who openly admitted their racism. Now the test itself is what was interesting. It was a simple principle, you have these people work with others from another race on a project. Your performance was evaluated simply on how long it took for the project to get done. The results? Well unsurprisingly the truly non-racists were by far the fastest to complete the project. In second came the blatant racists who admitted as such. Why do you ask? Well they knew they were racists, but they had to get this project done so they admitted it and put aside their differences to complete the project. In last place, the closet racists. BY a LONG shot these guys were the last. I don't fully remember the reason but i think it had to do with saying one thing but showing something else in body language... or getting tied up with what to say or not to say. But as i have said earlier, maybe it is just a generational thing that we (im assuming dodgefan is of my generation) do not ascribe the same feelings towards this topic.
  22. I wonder how long it will take for the Corvettes carbon fiber to filter down onto other cars to make them lighter?
  23. And thus you are now evaluating people subjectively based on their race thereby promoting stereotypes and continued racism. You promote them because you guilt people into making them think its bad to say certain things to certain people, which reinforces stereotypical notions, even if you are to suppress it. If these stereotypes fall by the wayside there will be nothing to be politically correct about, instead of perpetually continuing racism and creating closet racists. A word has no meaning unless you attach something to it. Gafoozawazle!
