  1. No it's registered to Enclave. The USPTO identifies it as a Corporation (as Toyota Jidosha K.K. Corporation; Ford Motor Company Corporation), but it's just a mistake on the form. Doh!

  10. I gave on the monthy magazines because they were always so far behind. Several months late and always wrong. As for having the same articles, just remember two things, many are published by the same companies (Primedia, Hachette Filipacchi), and share content with foreign magazines, which are amongst the worst offenders when it comes to breaking embargoes. Car magazine used to be written partly by wealthy British comedians like Rowan Atkinson and Ronnie Barker, which made for very good reading. You'd get amusing long term tests of very expensive cars actually paid for by the writer (like Atkinson's own Bentley). It's gone far downhill since then, to the point where they can't tell the difreence between GM and DaimlerChrysler.

  12. Probably SuperSport like the original race model, rather than the abbreviated SS.

VLE's have traditionally been reluctant to go for the added cost of the 3-valve heads, even in the Corvette. A "270-hp 3.9L V-6" was in the GMPD's G6 Performance Coupe at SEMA last year.
  14. Sounds like they are being realistic about it squaring off against the GTO rather than the Mustang, with the lower sales volume that implies. We'll just have to wait and see if GM fires back with a compelling new model.
  15. Not as ugly as the old version, not as boring as the Australian. The Taiwanese version is still the best IMHO.

  19. The last mini-ice age ran from around 1000-1800. The Thames river in London froze over every winter and the Norse settlements in Greenland were cut off and wiped out as the climate changed. Before this there were vineyards in Britain, an industry only recently revived, malaria-carrying mosquitoes in Southern Europe. BTW hasn't Europe just had it's worst winter for several years? According to some theorists it doesn't hyave to get colder to preciputate an ice age. Changes in warming ocean currents due to fresh water from melting glaciers and open water in the arctic could shut off the warming effect of currents such as the Gulf Stream, and lead to increased snowfalls which persist longer despite warmer weather.
  20. They won't need to, the coupes may be called 2-series.
  21. May not help Apple. It may still cost them a lot of money and they have no redress in the US. Enough copycats and they may still drive the ipod off the shelves for good, even if every case is thrown out the first day. Elsewhere the plaintiff would have to pay the legal costs for wasting everyone's time.
  22. There is no british accent. You mean oxfordian, scots, welsh, yorkshire, bristolian (all words which end with a vowel sound have an l on the end, the real name of the city was bristow), cockney, glaswegian etc. Up north you get names such as Menzies (Mengis) and Dalziel (Dee-yell) in which the apparent z is not a z at all it's an old letter called yogh (ȝ if you have a really big font set) which looks sort of like a z with a tail like a g and sounds like a guttural y and gh at the same time (as in yogh).
