i could get rid of a spare tire and just have one of those in my truck.

Well, I have a 07 Silvarado vortec max and in the summer with summer tires I can average about 17mpg but now I am closer to 14. This is 60-40 highway-city!

I like Ok, GM admits that the loonie has gained ground on the manufacturing side but not on the sales side? We still pay a 30% premium on cars here. How does 35 MPG change gm building cars... they will just have to build more efficient ones.

Up here in the north a lot of people drive their diesel trucks, just leave them to idle when they go into the store or do their daily business. if they park for a few hours they have to plug them in. Diesels are not going to reduce energy consumption or greenhouse gases in the north.

That is an awesome story. So, they are going to sell a car that is going to be better than the volt will be in 2 years.... THIS YEAR?

Its inflation, get over it In Alberta I have watched prices of houses go from the $150,000 range to $400,000 in 4 years. On the other hand, Those chicken fries are a rip-off!!

Ok, am a part of a union, I am for the union ideal, That's about it. This GM v.s. UAW is b.s. GM is just holding it together and the UAW wants more.. unacceptable. The union is likely unfair to harder working workers, and doesn't entice someone to get any education. Where I work it is very similar. After 4 years of schooling I am making the same as a guy that greases pumps. (basically adds oil to all our pumps daily). His training was a 1 day safety course on site. Is that fair? I think not, nor do I think that the UAW is fair to its own workers, and definitely not fair to GM (The hand that is feeding them). GM is feeding the union lobster while GM is eating canned beans. I mean come on!

I bought the truck at Stedelbauer but they had to re-route it from a Ottawa dealer!

They tried to push off a crew cab on me.. I didn't want or need a crew cab, I ain't got no kids!

I finally got my new truck after some time of waiting, I absolutley love this rig. I bucked the advice of many forumers and my father and bought a 6.0L. I'll have a review on it later but here are some pics for now:

I hate CVTS in cars, I love them in snowmobiles. The reason they are so good in snowmobiles is they match very well to high rpms in 2 cycle engines and high revving 4 cycles in late years. Now cars only go to 6k and have more low end torque. CVTs forget about the torque and blast the rpms up to max hp. Feels like junk and sounds like $h!. I have driven quite a few and they are all less than par to a 4 speed tranny.

This whole situation scares me. I still can't believe he did it.

I hold back in person and online. I don't like to voice my opinion because I feel people will lose respect for me. You know I had been thinking about getting a boat, still the power is not necessary.. just nice! After driving them I decided to go wih the 6.0L. I do still have my corolla for a miser. The truck is just going to be "just for fun".

It is the GMT 900, I was thinking that the 5.3 would be better. I was sold on the 6.0L but looking at the tests it is not that much quicker and it gets much worst milage.
