Which would you rather have?
Or, an even more relavant question is how quickly can you get the car into that RPM range... The most annoying thing about the S2000 is that you have to FedEx a request for WOT to the butterfly a week in advance in ordcer to get the power when you want it. Okay I'm grossly exagerating for effect but the truth is it annoys me to have to wait like 3.75 seconds in order ofr the car to reach it's powerband at WOT. If I'm sitting in my Camaro at idle at a red light and it turns green, from the moment I push that gas pedal down to the floor to the car tearing up the rear tires mercilesly is only about 0.25 seconds. Basicaly it's INSTANT. And FYI my Camaro's 350 is setup & cammed to reach peak horsepower at relatively high rpms. The engine only really starts turning at about 4500 and redlines at 7000rpm. I've run the car at 7100 for a sec. or two before. In a life or death situation I'm sure 8000 would not kill it. These new cars (Hondas in particular) seem to have a serious delay. It's like there's a blockage in the fel line or something. Even BMWs (I'm a BMW fan myself) have a serious delay in throttle response. <_<

GS450h specs
I honestly do not see a discrepancy in QUALITY between the STS and GS photos. Am I blind? Does the slightly wide gap at the bottom of the trunk on the STS bother you? or the STS No* emblem? What relevance does that pic have when I do not see a trunk pic of the GS and I do not see a pic of the front of the STS. It's an apples to oranges comparison. WTF are you talking about? I post pics of GM classics to prove a point about GM classics... we're talking abotu a NEW Cadillac vs. a new Lexus. Do my p[osts of classic cars to prove a point about styling or tradition bother you?

OH MY.....
I stil say that Blazer and Isuzu are much more worhtwile and interesting than any Civic or Integra based custom. The Blazer is kind of cool. You have to respect the time and devotion it takes to make something like that. I personally would rather start off wiht a '71 Nova or a '34 Ford if I was doing a radical custom but that's just me.

>>> Panther <<<
Here's a great article. When this came out I felt like this guy read my mind. I've always wanted to make a "1965" Chevy Panther clone.

GM Badges
I like the ide of the badges, love it as a matter of fact.... it's the placement of them that seems pretty dumb in some instances. I'd be the first one ot say we need to be more proud of our Products. It's the MARK OF EXCELLENCE after all.

Hockey's Back!
Yup.... Bobby Orr was amazing. Did I ever mention I once sat in Adam Oats' Porsche? I did in like 1996. 1989 Slant Nose Turbo (930) navy blue with a white top & interior. The only contents inside were a "Seal" CD and a reg. in his name. He lives in North Andover... or did back then. his is the car except reverse the colors:

Toyoguy: Go grab your binky and stop whining. Were we talking about resale? NO Why can't you Toyo/Lex/Hon/Acura fans ever stick to the point. As soon as one fo your favorite vehicles starts to show serious flaws it's back to the resale value again... so relevant in this case.

Harley's Triviama IX
Back OUT of the gutter... here's the breakdown: Why is it called a Z/28? Because it just so happened that when the semi-clandestine 302 powered race bred package came out as a factory option in 1967 the option code Z/27 was taken. Z/28 had no significance. None what so ever. It GAINED significance when word on the street became: X: "Did you hear about the super high reving high horsepower 302 cubic inch race motor that you can get in a 1967 Camaro?" Y: "What the hell are you talking about, they don't have a 302 in the Camaro" X: "No seriously, if you get option package Z/28 it gives you a Trans Am race package for the street, they throw in a bunch of goodies!" Y: "What's it called?" X: It's kind of a secret that you can get one for the street, there's no name for it. It's not like RS or SS... it's just a package that happens to be option code Z/28" So now by 1968 when Pete Estes decides to give the Z/28 some marketing money the "Z/28" option code is so famouos it has a following. MAny gearheads know what a Z/28 is just as they know that it's very underrated and NOT a drag car, rather a race bred car for the likes of Laguna Seca and Lime Rock. So what name would suit the car better than the one already used by the gearheads and car nerds. And thus the Z/28 is still to this day the most famous option code in history.... even though in it's first year there were no emblems, no advertising and no mention of the car in official litterature. :)

Mitsubishi Sigma
I love Starions. I came real close to buying one but ended up going with the Pontiac since I was not thrilled about a car with 95,000 miles that needed a new turbo. Still it was a very cool vehicle.

So what is it folks?
Someone was bound to say that.

eBay Motors Challenge
Great thread BTW... here's a few "gems" I'd love to pick up just for the sheer craziness of their rarity: Corvair Rampside Truck http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-C...sspagenameZWDVW 66 Corvair 2 door wiht a V8 kit ready for a SBC or BBC swap http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-C...sspagenameZWDVW 1959 LeSabre (God I want this car soooo bad!) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buick-LeSab...sspagenameZWDVW

Ouch, that was a low-blow. I'd rather die in flames in a Fireo than drive a Honda. Relax, I'm only beign serious. :)

'98 Seville STS
I've got hundreds of 1:18 scale cars, and several Cadillacs but I never bought this one. The rear looks so cheap since they substituded gray plastic for the trunk tail-light filler. Also I like the styling of the '92-97 STS better. I own one after all. I sold Marcia's Grandmother a '99 STS though.

Car decision
This would be a very silly move. I'm sure you realize you could turn in your lease car, wait a month and find it at an auction for $3500. At this point a dealer would buy it and throw some money at it in terms of maintenance items and such while selling it for you for a grand total of $5900. I may be exagerating a little bit but not much.

Older female driver's drive?
Obviously BV and Fly need to learn to READ and not judge an ad based on face value. "Look to OLDS for all that's NEW" I was trying to make a point about the Olds name being a funny icebreaker in advertising. Of all people I would think the resident Aurora obssesed Floridian would get it... BTW: the first one is a '42 but the 2nd and 3rd are '46 Oldsmobiles. NOT pre-war. <_<

Seville Opera Coupe
I've yet to see any of these cars in real life too.

CORVETTE Z06 VS FORD GT
the Corvette Z06 (427) has managed to B!tch slap just about any sports car costing less than half a million dollars. And yet it costs $69 grand. Insult to injury. I love it. Rub that salt into Ferraris' wound. Now ask yourself: how fast would cars like the Enzo & Ford GT & Merceliago be without the Z06's presance? How abouot 650HP Mercedes Benz sedans? Do you think they would eve even exist if it was not for the fact that a $50,000 car spanks their $80,000 cars. Competition is a great thing.
