If C&G were expanded
Just something I was pondering....just made me wonder if these forums existed, would that cause us to talk other things besides cars and being silly with each other...or really, more to the point, make C&G one-stop shopping... Hell, it may wake up a lot of lurkers.... Anyway, sound off...

GXP vs. GTP
I see I have to educate you all.... As we all know, the first of Pontiac's three letter cars was the GTO (Tempest/Lemans, later Ventura)...since then, there were the following: GTA - Trans Am (88-92) GTP - Grand Prix (91-05), G6 (present) GSE - LeMans hatch (89-90, surely a takeoff of the GTE and GSi labelings of its Astra/Kadett sister..probably also became GSE, because they couldn't very well name it GTE in the U.S. at the time) SSE/SSEi - Bonneville (87-03) GXP - Bonneville (04-05), Grand Prix (present) If anything, I'd rather see each car get its own three-letter designation or be labeled a Formula for its top line (though Formula has more of an Rally Sport feel to it than a Z/two digit slash three-letter feel)

Kia surprises everyone with a pretty bitchin'...
I love the Spectra5....I just wish it had the oomph under the hood to really compete.

Hyundai drops minivan plans
I would love to see the Asians bring a full-size van to the U.S. market.....

Car Spotting
Got a better look at another 06 Impala going down Crenshaw....from the perspective I was looking at it as I was driving home, its proportions are actually quite sexy and chiseled. Chevy actually didn't do too bad of a job at all....it's like a big car that pretends it isn't....just looks really athletic and light on its feet, yet thick and strong. Makes you wonder what could have been (rear-drive!!) I think it will hold its own with the LXes....

Retractable Hardtops
Nice to know there are Focus coupes and Cobalt convertibles that will never see these shores.... But really the greenhouses on these models all look the same as a result.

You were beaten to that line already....

Buick
You just now thought of that? I felt that way when I was a kid. I even thought the 71 was similar to the second-gen f-body.

If GM is to start another business...
Wouldn't Pontiac bikes be confused with Indian? :) On a more serious note, I think Pontiac would be a great motorcycle manufacturer....maybe they can discover their mojo, and some real autonomy from Chevy and Caddy....

2006 Pontiac
If anything Kappa-based is a Firebird, it will have to be a 2+2.

Pontiac
Can't belive no one made the Opel GT call...or 2000GT/first Z maybe? Anyway, of course they should do it....and do not make a Sky version to go with it.

This is stuff I've never seen.....it either happened in posts I never read, in PMs, or before I discovered C&G....

Move a GM model to another division
This isn't the "drop" thread....this is the "move/trade" thread....

If gm had to kill a another brand?
They also just launched the Chevy name in Europe...all Daewoo, all the time. The Chevy (Daewoo) Lacetti/Optra (our Suzuki Forenza) is also the Buick Excele in China. GM's getting major world mileage out of those cars.

Lessons in punctuation

Lessons in punctuation
Nah, man, that's just lazy....it ain't that hard to mix in a period.... i hate when people do this they run their sentences together that is just weak to me can you punctuate prick and then to make that its only the internet excuse iz even worse Corniest thing on the planet. Especially in long blocks.

Move a GM model to another division
You need punctuation in general, bro....

If gm had to kill a another brand?
Vauxhall, Opel, and Holden are basically the Chevy of the respective countries they sell in. All are bread-and-butter full-line brands. Even though they just introduced Chevy in Europe to undercut Opel/Vauxhall (with rebadged Daewoos), the facts remain.

You know the cavalier is actually sold as a Toyota in Japan, right?

Jiangxi Motors Group
One has to really want cheap new transpo to buy a knockoff of a 15-year-old, two-generations-removed SUV Until they reign in their design piracy practices, the Chinese will get no real respect. Brilliance is cool with me, the rest can keep that trash over there.

Who do you miss/ who has left?
Not like I really miss him (nothing personal), but I wonder where that Akwan cat is? Maybe his wife banned him from posting here?

You're kidding, right?
I guess it makes sense for that reason, but it still smacks of favoritism... Don't trip, I know there's no need for a Firebird forum or anything like that....
