  1. While I am not going to attempt to speak for someone else, even you have to admit that many enthusiasts are getting tired of GM's empty promises. Many are getting tired of the constant "wait, wait, wait..." that the enthusiast community has been hearing for years. Many of us are frankly tired of waiting, and more than a few are tired of getting one's hopes up only for them to be shot to hell. I won't believe it until I see it. If this view frustrates you, well, that is regrettable as, given the history, it does not seem to be an unreasonable view to have. All this said, welcome to Cheers and Gears! I hope you enjoy this site and will continue to post here in the future. Here's to GM! :clink:
  2. Croc replied to Flybrian's topic in The Lounge
i have no knowledge of any of that; i had resigned before all that.

The problem with BYEBMW was this: he did not respect the fact that the moderating team was an authority and THE authority for this site. He would post things in public that should have been kept private via PMs, and when we deleted and/or locked his threads he would repost them. That is what got him banned.

Which is why there's an "other" category.
  5. Yea...now for my question: with the proliferation of third row seating...when are manufacturers going to wise up and start offering third row access doors? It would be a welcome addition.
  6. Heh...you, sir, are a moron. What a biased piece of journalism! NOT ONCE did it make reference to the absurdly high wages in comparison to the rest of the supplier industry, or how low the upper management benefits package is in the same comparison. Looks like (to quote evok) another child got left behind before getting a job at the NY Times.
  7. Dude, it may be capitalism, but it would come at the expense of some current banks that serve DCX customers already. Not a fan of letting offshore companies gain at the expense of domestic companies...
  8. What about HUMMER? Or are they no longer a GM brand? :P

Northie deleted one of the articles NINETY-EIGHT posted because it was a repeat posting of something Northie had posted earlier that day.
  10. Do you really think the Bush administration will do jack sh!t about this? C'mon...let's dream some more realistic dreams here, like GM dominating product segments with competitive vehicles for the rest of the decade.
  11. I got people I didn't like banned from a mall once. That was fun being close with the head of security.

Remember when NINETY EIGHT freaked at Northstar? That was...um...awkward. :adsd thread:

Sorry Petra, but we all did. Right up until you posted pix of yourself.

I just wanna know the demographics of C&G in this regard...

  16. Here's something to consider...especially given the "stuck-in" look of the airbag light. Maybe the display unit is changing or some other minor change is occurring in that area so GM just put in a random part so there wasn't a big gaping hole there? It's happened before... And I think the AURA will get the piano black center stack upon intro...right? I'd wait until a later auto show to see the final production version. The new steering wheel is a plus, though.
  17. Decent review, though I don't know why he didn't pick apart the interior. It really is substandard for its class...
  18. HAHA!!! Stace, I think you're giving him too much credit with that. I think "Paper, or plastic" is much more appropriate. Plus there's no way to strike back at a consumer in that position!
  19. Again I must ask...how ol are you? Because right now I am guessing about 17, and that's only due to work experience. You're acting more like 12. From what you have told us, you are a crook of the worst kind, and I personally hope I never eat in your restaurant because at this point I am afraid your customers will get their food spat on or worse just if you think they are giving you any lip whatsoever.
  20. Croc replied to HarleyEarl's topic in Acura
Very cheap-looking. What a tarnish on the Acura brand!
  21. Uhhh...how old are you, again?
  22. I'd like to see an ad showing an H2 bulldozing a bunch of lawn gnomes and pink flamingos in a suburban neighborhood with a blonde bombshell in juicy couture stepping out of it in some glitterati aviator sunglasses with the caption "Shiela: Suburban Warrior Princess." It would be funny as all hell.
  23. Heh when I worked at Qdoba this summer we all gave ourselves huge discounts whenever we felt like it. The best was when we had to go into the walk-in to restock the coolers and we'd eat cookie dough just chillin in the boxes. Or when we'd make ourselves our own burritos and forget to charge ourselves for the queso and guac as well as all the extra salsa. Oh, yea...drinks were always free unless they were the Nantucket Nectars...management watched those VERY closely.
  24. I think he's referring to the discontinued Shortstar V6
  25. I'm getting my estimates from the fact that the San Andreas fault is "stuck" right now and that its big events are spaced on average 152 years apart, though it never happens on the average. The shortest interval on record was 57 years and the longest 250 years. The window for the next big one has been open for a while. All of this is from a geology class I've been in. This weekend we went on a little camping field trip and visited Palmdale and the fault among a lot of other places.
