since i can hear it in the cabin, i'm thinking it has to be inside... i don't know how much it is. you ever had this done? is it possible to do w/o taking most of the dash apart?

what would you assume would be a rough change in gas mileage with one some where relating to the hvac flap controls? i could usually get ~29-30 in practically the same driving as what i'm doing now in warm weather, .. my last tank i got 25.75 mpg... it's been getting into the 20's and the last few days the 10's at night, here highs of 30ish i haven't been idling my car much at all to warm-up, maybe a total of 5 mins for the whole tank, of actually done on purpose. side question, would a temp gauge reading of ~140 instead of 180 affect it much too? my temp gauge has been this way for several years though. before i got this driving cycle my typical was 19-20 mpg when it's nice out, and sometimes high 16's when it got cold. this is a ~15+% hit and the new mileage figure is almost 15%. and for you guys that have done work behind a dash for hvac reasons, any idea where the most likely culprit of a hose crack/leak would be? because of vacuum it makes it's self known best from 2K up to about 2.5K rpm....hisses pretty good. this leak mostly effects my ...damper?.. moves the output to heater when under medium high to high load.. like going up a hill in 3rd or 4th gear.

thanks dwight, but the tranny isn't rated for even 180hp, unless it actually is a different design, just the same "6L40". is that 180 with the 15hp motor added? ...could the engine be 1/2 atkinson 1/2 otto, so it'd loose ~10% power? this is what's confusing me.

so...they're not using the "normal" 2.4L now with DI so they'd have to use the 6L45? (to handle the more power) is this weird? i was just skimming.. is the 2.4 just going to be Atkinson cycle?

i'd consider it a down grade. while it does look more like the 200, it's loosing it's iconic look.

not surprising if you're only looking at sunni v shiite "tensions" besides that, the initiator would be looked at as a lamb to the slaughter...timing after that is everything. resources to "plucked" from other nations.

sounds like a good idea.

does he like thrill rides? roller coasters?... or how about mountain biking, or something like that? from the aesthetic side, can he admire a painters skill, a sculptors... can he admire the engineering that goes into an f1 engine? the stretch of the valves are calculated at such rpms so that they will perform as they are needed and not cause other problems? some parts of cars are still quite "medieval", but still think of all that had to go into a vehicle to get to where we are now...performance from a model A to the 50's, 70, to the 90's to now... the safety innovations in the same time period, the reliability issues that have been mostly vanquished... and to beable to be in control of such a refined, or sometimes unrefined, machine....

have we all heard that GM is moving to a 2.5L 4 cyl to replace the 2.4? if this is true will that be it's only "improvement"? will it maybe be a SOHC with independent vvt? will it get some other better tech? make it HCCI future ready? any ideas? will it just be made to hit 200HP?

Z, it's the HP formula that will make the HP more than torque above ~5200. hence why diesels with redlines under 5K (all of them?) will have higher torque numbers than hp.
