To all New England C&G members...
Two weeks ago, it was the worst I had ever seen. Luckily, CT's out of the flood zone this time around.

Top Gear Tests the Z06
Yeah, the width, shifter, and comfort were sticking points with Clarkson.

Flint: Strike Any Notion of a Delphi Strike
Flint: Strike Any Notion of a Delphi Strike Each day, the possibility of a potentially crippling Delphi strike seems to increase every so slightly as GM, the UAW and Delphi are still at loggerheads over an agreement that will prevent such a thing. Jerry Flint is not worried however, as he thinks the opposing forces are providing a whole a lot of bark but will lack the bite to actually go through with their threats. Is Mr. Flint right? See his reasoning for having little to fear. Read "Auto Strike? Not Likely" by Jerry Flint @ Forbes

Awesome Dodge Challenger Cruise Pics
I know you didn't name or quote specific people but for clarification's sake, I've never complained about the Charger's design or number of doors. But the Challenger, in that picture at least, does look kind of pudgy. I remember it looking longer, thinner and lower for some reason.

Spied: Japan-Spec Refreshed Subaru Legacy
Spied: Japan-Spec Refreshed Subaru Legacy The 2007 Legacy for Japan is the 2008 Legacy for us. The Legacy has still been spared from the horror that is the Alfaesque grille that adorns the Tribeca and Impreza (which, if you're using the Tribeca as a comparison point, is a good thing). It's only a front end shot but that's enough to let us know they won't ugly up the Legacy for at least another 2 years. Read "2007 Japanese-spec Subaru Legacy spotted" @ Edmunds Straightline

The Redesigned Quest is Put To the Test
The Redesigned Quest is Put To the Test The Nissan Quest is my favorite minivan mainly for the fact that if I were forced to ever drive any minivan, I'd be the least likely to end my life driving a Quest. Up until now, the Quest hasn't been as widely received as other minivan offerings from Honda and Toyota due to quality and design issues. For 2007, Nissan seeks to rectify this with the refreshed Quest. Have they succeeded? Read The Car Connection's Review of the 2007 Nissan Quest

C&G before the big crash: Revived (sort of...)
I think previous topics about old C&G have been about old old C&G. This site has a kind of interactive snapshot of new old C&G (the one that died around this time last year). Some of the topics work; some don't. Relive the memories: http://web.archive.org/web/20050331054009/...rsandgears.com/

Funny thing about the Tundra Commercial
Sorry- I missed the intention of this part of your post. Is an '02 or even an early '90s domestic truck not expected to be still running in '06? No, I was just saying they've held up reasonably well and have been wholly reliable. I wasn't expecting them not to. In retrospect, I guess I should stuck to my uncle's Ford if a wanted to make a point about standing a real world test of time. A four-year old Sierra (or anything) really isn't that old.

Spied: 2008 Chrysler Town & Country [update 11/21]
Actually, Nissan sells less to fleet than Toyota (for one). I read this article from the WSJ's web site. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1147230415...ON=wsjie/6month

Spied: The NeXt 5
Spied: The NeXt 5 Edmunds gives us a glimpse at the 2007 X5. It is bigger than the current one and this set of pictures show...very little, really. But the new X5 is stated to be more evolutionary-looking. Hey, as long as they don't make it look anything like the X3, I'll be happy. Second-Generation BMW X5 Draws Nearer @ Edmunds

Funny thing about the Tundra Commercial
Well, every manufacturer does factory testing, so it's not exactly something that stands out. That said, I've never seen a broken-down Tundra (or Titan, for that matter). My dad's Sierra still runs good (~2002) and one of my uncles has a early 90's F-150 that's still on the road.

Cobalt or ION?
Between those choices, the Cobalt (in SS trim). But to be honest, neither one would be my #1 pick for an economy sedan.

(+) It's (-): No Hybrid Version of Honda's CR-V
(+) it's (-): No Hybrid Version of Honda's CR-V Honda has recently told Edmunds that though a Fit Hybrid is indeed in the works, there are no plans to produce a CR-V of the same persuasion. Honda admitted that people who are going to spend the extra coin for a hybrid CR-V likely won't see that money returned in fuel savings. Cars are the only vehicles Honda will be equipping their hybrid systems with. I'm afraid our hopes of a Pilot or Ridgeline hybrid are dashed. Read "Honda Drops Plans for CR-V Hybrid" @ Edmunds

Top Gear: New season started this week
You can't view it in the US. It plays in Britain every Sunday evening. The version that played on the Discovery channel here for one season was different segments of episodes of the U.K. version cobbled together minus the news and other things. It wasn't as good as the original. They're making a U.S. Top Gear designed for America (no Clarkson, May or Hammond) but I don't think there's been word on when that'll air.

Spied: 2008 Hyundai Mesa
Spied: 2008 Hyundai Mesa Meet the next vehicle dedicated to Hyundai's love of the American Southwest: the Mesa. It is Hyundai's newest and largest SUV, larger than the mid-size Santa Fe but not quite as large as full-size competitors. A great bit of detail can be seen in these photos inside and out. The interior looks to be a fusion of the Infiniti FX and Lexus RX. Read "When Santa Fe just isn't big enough" @ Edmunds

Hyundai stealing Cadillac V-Series commercials?
I've seen it. Hyundai's isn't a gun/bullet thing; it's a whisper/echo thing. It's kind of cool in a weird way.

Whats Your Nationality?
In the future, it might be best to not make polls that have this many (and more than this many) choices. Just leave it open-ended.
