Lincoln News: 2020 Lincoln Navigator Gets Tech and Style Updates
I would love it if GM had a conquest rate of 66% on ANY of their vehicles; ideally all GM vehicles would have such a high conquest percentage. Lincoln seems to be doing some really good things with the new Navigator.

Great for Lincoln. Now how should Cadillac respond?

Far fewer franchises and a LOT more local businesses too 60-70 years ago.

OK. Start with the XT4/XT5/XT6.

GM News: GM Shelves Diesel Option for Equinox and Terrain
How would you fix GM's marketing for each class of vehicle?

What have we done? 2016 Malibu 1LT 1.5t
Thank you for the updates on your Malibu. May I recommend an Equinox/Terrain as your next vehicle?

GM News: GM Shelves Diesel Option for Equinox and Terrain
Either way, few soccer moms want a diesel-fueled crossover. Usually the biggest buyers are those who need the hauling and towing superiority that comes with a diesel engine. Those are truck buyers, not car/CUV buyers. The typical buyer is the issue, not the fact that the diesel engines did not have the typically sky-high MPGs expected from them.

GM News: GM Shelves Diesel Option for Equinox and Terrain
No surprise here. Diesel is on its way out, for better or worse. The primary market for this class of crossovers do not care for diesel anything, so no more diesels. I also suspect that an BEV option would sell better than the diesels that were just canceled.

Chevrolet News:Camaro to Die - Again
If the Rays end up in Montreal, that may not be a big a deal as you might surmise. NOW, the Buccaneers leaving town would be a true shocker.

Oh no, not again, .... 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L Plus
That may be true where you live. But down here in SW FL, all the FCA dealerships are under one roof. It has been that way for at least a decade.

Cadillac News: 2020 Cadillac CT6 Makes Big Price Moves
Of course most cars have a hard time surviving in the Snowbelt because of the copious amount of road salt used every harsh winter. Florida and California cars last for years because there is little or no snow here/there. Every once in a while I see cars built in the 70s and quite a few from the 80s down here. There is a reason Canada mandated rustproofing cars back in 1977.

Oh no, not again, .... 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L Plus
Are you sure that Chrysler and Dodge dealers are still separate? Eleven years ago about 1000 dealers went bankrupt. Virtually all of them were GM, Ford and FCA dealerships. I suspect there was a lot of consolidation of those dealers too.

Same here. Apparently nobody wants to buy a minivan anymore. Can't imagine why.

Industry News: Premium Battery Maker AKASOL Chooses Detroit Michigan USA for new Production site.
Fair questions, but Detroit really needs those jobs, especially with the 21st Century (not the 1950s) in mind. I do hope that solid state batteries will be made here, if only to future-proof the plant and the jobs brought here.

Mercedez Benz News Mercedes to Launch A250e Plug-In Hybrid Hatchback
Mercedes has an image to protect here. If the A250e sells well in Europe and China, expect the technology to come here in the GL series of CUVs within two years. Hybrid sedans, on the other hand, are doubtful here.

If your entire auto fleet lacks BOF (and V8 engines), then 36 MPG by 2025 is not only possible, it is likely to happen. Those who rely on BOF (and V8 engines) for maximum profits will have serious issues meeting that standard. Just sayin'.

Sales: June 2019 Sales Figure Ticker
Call us back in one year, then we can talk. The real question is why Chevrolet sales fell off a cliff. Apparently, RAM trucks are now outselling Chevy trucks. HOW did that happen?

Sales: June 2019 Sales Figure Ticker
Just when you think GM is doing well, Chevy comes in and ruins the whole party. Disappointing.
