FRANKFURT: 2008 Chevrolet Aveo5
I like it. The Aveo needs a better powertrain/mileage, however.

New Company Ride: 2007 Jeep Compass Limited 4wd
I did my first fill up on the new HHR after a month of ownership. I got 21 MPG in mostly city driving. The Ecotec engine is famous/infamous for requiring an inordinate long break in period for good gas mileage.

Maybe he will introduce car salesman in little orange aprons. When you ask them where to find a nice reliable comfortable car they tell you "if we still carry those you will find it in aisle 17."- 4 cylinder Aura to become availiable
I believe the number of Saturn dealers are down considerably since the departure of the L series. Aura sales are almost 6000 units in July, the Malibu is only not much greater at 9000 units.- New Variant of HHR?
Your first post, and on a Sunday too! If that doesn't deserve a welcome to this end of the Internet, then what does?- CR does some more Toyota humping
We each have our own life experiences and thoughts on this subject. I for one don't think that consumer reports has a bias, rather they are just incompetent.- New Company Ride: 2007 Jeep Compass Limited 4wd
Compass sales ar barely over a third of the 7 year PT Cruiser sales! What am I missing here?- 4 cylinder Aura to become availiable
OHC v6 engine, DVD entertainment system, polymer panels.- Some Very Important News
They don't. i think it was "the griffon" who explained this a month or so ago. Each manufacturer has three distinct fleet averages to meet. One is cars, a second (lower one) is trucks and the third are imported vehicles. The savings from imported small cars like the aveo or the Yaris can't be used to average out large domestic vehicles, but rather can average out fuel inefficient imported vehicles. In the case of GM that means the Aveo averages out the Australian GTO but not the Deville. This is further complicated by the fact that the first two fleets are law mandated entities, but the imported fleet average part of CAFE is an EPA imposed regulation and they can end it themselves with out congressional consent. I hop[e i got all that correct.- The Future of Chevy Trucks - Autoweek
The HHR sold almost 13,000 vehicles last month. The Cobalt sold just 2000 more and the Impala much better at 21000. Of course the Silverado and Sierra sold more. However no Epsilon mid size car sold more than HHR. No Lambda sold more than HHR. No Pontiac, Buick, or Saturn sold more than HHR. No Epsilon sold more than HHR. Why again?- Senate Panel Approves Currency Bill
True Land Cruiser is on few people's shopping list but 4-runner, Fj-40 have about 90,000 units ytd (combined) and Sienna another 80,000 units.- Senate Panel Approves Currency Bill
Toyota already pays a 25% tax on imported trucks such as Landcruiser, 4-Runner, and the FJ-40 and some Lexus trucks I can't be bothered remembering (or can't afford). Not true for the sizable amount of sales that are produced here. Not true for the sizable Toyota production in California. Likewise since Toyota is Delphi's second largest customer, they pay for union wages indirectly.---------------------- I shouldn't have to defend myself this way but: my vehicles are 1996 GMC Sonoma, 1999 Pontiac Grand-Am, and 2007 Chevy HHR. The last two vehicles for famiy members who don't live with me whose purchase I finacially and spiritually participated in: 2005 Chevy Silverado, and 2007 Saturn ION. Hardly the record of an import humper.- Weekend With a 'Bu

I saw an internet mock-up of a California vanity plate "HAYPOPS" . Must belong to a very distinguished gentleman. I suspect it will end up on new silverstone Chevy HHR that sits in my driveway! combining this with another thread here in the lounge -- I am listening to "Shame, Shame, Shame" by Sirley & Company and I should be ashamed to bud into your topic.- 2009 Buick Regal
Ya, that will work! (just kiding)- Anyone live near San Jose California?
I never heard of that either! I expect it depends on how far you are getting into it. Major plumbing would require permits, but even these can be owner obtained. The only thing I would warn you is not to bring any plants into the state with you. Maybe your buddy can check locally about the permits?- Anyone live near San Jose California?

quick explanation of two mode system 4speed automatic + 2ECVT modes + 2 60 kw motors + 300 volt battery pack- Chrysler announces lifetime powertrain warranty
I'm pretty sure that that warranty(7/70) ended last year sometime. In a related issue I heard a stock market report and they said that the sale may fall through as Cerribus was having problems getting the cash. Countrywide Mortgage reported that they were seeing a large increase in defaults on other than sub-prime loans.- GM expects 40% mileage boost on big SUV hybrids
Whatever the real world Prius mileage is, it's important to compare it to some small 1.5 l sedan like the Echo or perhaps the even larger more powerful Corolla, not the Camry or other larger more fuel thirsty car. Slap some low rolling resistance tires on an old Echo and you got a good comparison. - Cerberus announces new management at Chrysler
