Citroen C4 and Peugeot 307 Hybride
That is like saying Chevy and Pontiac combined to make something. Notice the diesel gets over 60 Mpg. without the hybrid technology.

Buick Lucerne scores big
I really wonder about the rear drive thing. It could be argued that only entusiast care that much about it. #oo sales are still good but slowing. The Dodge charger and Magnum sales are not so good. Also didn't Volvo sales increase when they switched from rear wheel drive to front wheel drive?

I'm pregnant
Son in law #3 has a middle name of James. He named both of his sons with the same middle name. They just had a beautiful baby girl. I always thought the James for every body name wa lame so I insisted (and won) that they name the girl James also. It's like an old episode of the Bob Newhart show.

President Offers Automakers Little Encouragement
By what stretch of the imagination do you claim that fox news is not the MSM!!! Prove that it is not. (the last sentance was added becuase that seems to be the standard level of argument around here; first person to demand proof wins)

Buick Lucerne scores big
usa today review Short but nice review. Lucerne compares well to Avalon. He talks about bias against Buick, heritage, the fact that Buick's four speed automatic shifts better than Avalon's 5, and finally that 3800 is adequate.

President Offers Automakers Little Encouragement
That isn't entirely so. Toyota produces cars in our own state using UAW employees. As a matter of fact, it is my understanding that the Freemont factory had some of the worst union emloyees i the GM stable. I don't know whether tariffs are the answer or not, but I would remind you that there is a 25% tariff on imported trucks last time I checked. Even ardent Bush supporters might have appreciated a little jaw bonning as in "I really enjoy my Ford HD pick up". He certainly has used this in his photo-opps, today would have been an opportune time to verbalize it.

Did the Vue get the CVT Tranny?
Both the FWD and AWD VUE(4 cylinder only) originaly came with the CVT. Later only the AWD 4 cylinder used it. It is gone completly now, IIRC. There were numerous failures and eventually the warranty on these transmissions was extended to 75000 miles. The very first units suffered from a batch of contaminated transmission fluid.

Any chance of the G6 getting a DOHC V-6?
Yes, that is what i saw. Usually i see these listed in the low $14000 range. I assume it included the $500 auto show discount which is location specific and very time limited. On theother hand GM has offered to roundup my GM card rebate from $50 to $2000.

Any chance of the G6 getting a DOHC V-6?
This is just not a fair comparison. You say in another post that one engine is better than another because it has less displacement than an equally powerful engine - a totally artifical measure, then compare a G6 to a Honda and Toyota that are priced the same as a Cadillac CTS. Money is a real metric, displacement is not. In a slighlty realted topic there is G6 value leader and it is well equiped and I saw one advertised for $12999. That seems a worthy comptetor for even the Koreans.

I don't think that Dodge enjoys the owner loyality that Big pickups from Ford and GM do. I suspect that Toyota will take sales from Dodge and Nissan, maybe just a little from Ford as the 150 is getting a little old and the heavy duties are having powertrain problems.

Interesting ... the Saturn ION has it too.

Next gen Tundra at Chicago
Since this is a pre-production truck, he probably is a Toyota employee. As such he is happy because anytime he wants to change jobs he knows that Chrysler will do anything to get a Toyota employee. You may hate Toyota but Chrysler sure doesn't.

Most warranties today are described as bumber to bumber, at least GM's are. I have heard rumors that Ford is "tight" on their warranty claims, but do not know how to confirm this. The caveat generally given with these warranties if generally that wear items such as brake pads and shoes are not covered as well as windshield wiper blades. I don't think shock absorbing devices are specifically mentioned, but I could be mistaken. It seems that if the failure is early in the vehicles use the manufacturer should except responsibility as Honda finally did hear after some implausable denial.

So you are saying that Honda doesn't honor their warranty?

Any chance of the G6 getting a DOHC V-6?
A number of years ago I heard a very interesting intyerview on the radio. At the time the 3.8 redo and the Northstar were both relatively "young". The question of the GM engineer in charge of the 3.8 program was "why did your engine come out so much better than the Northstar". It was actually a fair question at that time. The head engineer could not admit to the validity of the question, but intead went on to describe the changes and benefits they had made to the engine. Neither the interviewer, nor the engineer once claimed OHC was better or worse.

Toyota: Suicide and Depression at the World's
All those contract workers GM let go (and Ford will let go) are temps after all. I was a temp worker with the U.S. government for 11 years.

Dispute With Supplier Could Hurt Delphi
I used to think some of us were a little hard on him, but lately I have come to believe he is not worth my concern. For a much more interesting topic ... I like the idea of a section of the board for communication between sales people like yourself and potential coustomers. Here is a quick question. How many Cobalt and HHRs does your store carry in stock. To look in the local papers its all pick ups and trucks! I have always had a fasination with dealer stocking decessions. I used to have a friend who was a salesmanager for a small stand alone Peugeot dealer. Their franchise agreement demanded they cary one sedan and one wagon of each of the two models available. The less popular model wagon stayed on the floor all year.
