  1. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/raci...a.ap/index.html disappointing to see somebody with that kind of tenure & talent leaving GM
  2. shuttering/selling MOPAR I can kinda understand as its not absolutely required to make cars, but last I checked, they still need to move parts, so doing away with the transport division doesn't make a ton of sense. Unless they want to pay into some other trucking companies profit margin
  3. he brings up a good point. while i have no doubt GM engineering can get the battery pack designed and tested by 2010, a company only starting to get into HV manufacturing having this new product ready by then with good quality is somewhat questionable
  4. where's the Crewman?
  5. now just waitin on the price of the diesel option
  6. really like the new front end. any chance at least the grill will carryover to the other models? now if they'd only come out with a diesel
  7. thought that was still in development for the next gen
  8. is it really that hard to do a little research before slamming somebody? He hasn't only worked at Home Depot his whole life. Before he became Jack Welch's protege, he started off as an engineer at GE so I think he knows a bit about manufacturing, design and how engineering and how it can effect timetables.
  9. didn't profits and revenue nearly double while he was CEO?
  10. the same as Alan Mulally at Ford, none. sometimes fresh thoughts from outside the industry are a good thing
  11. sounds on plan. run Chrysler into the ground further and use it as an excuse to sell off the bits
  12. we need more diesels, STAT!
  13. 2 wheels too many to be a Honda RR
  14. lets make sure we save this quote for when the first production volt 40 miles
  15. http://money.cnn.com/2007/08/03/news/compa...dex.htm?cnn=yes It'd be hilarious if Cerebus defaulted and Daimler got control back
  16. now if they'd only come out with a diesel option
  17. after all her lawyer's fews, its all she car afford
  18. because automakers get credit for "unused" fuel economy they can carry-over from year to year. so a lot of the import manufacturers who mostly sold fuel saving econobox's have a good bank to use. The big 3 who sell a lot of gas using SUV's and trucks don't have as many (if any?) credits saved up, so this will hit them harder Imports (less than 75% north american content) also have different CAFE rules than domestics.
  19. Dragon posted a topic in Toyota
http://www.autoblog.com/2007/08/01/rumoure...6-more-details/ i know, i know, its a toyota ...but for that price...gotta say that sounds like some cheap fun
  20. it forgets to mention (though its stated on chrysler's website, SRT models are exempt from this http://www.chrysler.com/en/lifetime_powertrain_warranty/
  21. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/07/26/breakin...train-warranty/
  22. absolutely nobody. thats why it will achieve a grand total of 0 sales over its lifetime. oh, and why is this in the Cadillac forum?
  23. not that the original owners will care (cause it'll probably be a distant memory), but I bet it looks like $h! in 10 years
  24. if they are doing well in Spain, its hard to tell. I just got from Madrid, Bilbao, Pamplona & San Sebastian and I hardly saw any. I probably saw more Chevy's in 3 days in Budapest than I did in 8 days in Spain
  25. another refresh? isn't this #2? shouldn't it be due for a redesign by now?
