I'm more qualified than anyone here to assess VW's problems here. Their US operations are an absolute sh1tsh0w. It's impossible to get Atlas SEL Premiums or R Lines. Ditto for the Tiguan. They crap on the Golf line more and more each year, rather than improving it. They are cheaping out on the new Jetta. They still have 2018 Golf R's sitting at port. They aren't bringing the new Touareg here, they refuse to bring other vehicles from foreign markets here, they overbuild Passats and Tiguan Limiteds in staggering amounts, etc, etc. I could go on, but you get my point.

Comparing this car to a Cadillac is downright comical. Cadillac wishes they could make a car anywhere near this in terms of overall design, materials, fit and finish, craftsmanship, and presence. I've seen these in several colors now, and they are absolutely stunning. Literally EVERY time I see one in a parking lot, bystanders are gawking at it. And not people driving Avengers or Kias mind you, people driving BMW's and the like. The car is a knockout. The lines are just delicious. It is by far the best looking car on the road for anything costing less than about a quarter mil.

Sales have dropped because it's not as fresh, and they have culled the models of interest to male buyers and enthusiasts. The writing was on the wall for the car for some time, but it's still sad to see. In the grand scheme of things, its sales really weren't all that bad. Killing off the car and name entirely is a mistake.

My biggest one was Astons. When I was a budding car enthusiast in high school and thought I knew way more than I actually did, I thought they were for posers. I couldn't wrap my head around people spending Ferrari money on cars that performed no better than Porsches. And were probably rather unreliable. Now that I've driven many of them, I totally get the appeal. They have incredible craftsmanship and just positively ooze charm and personality. They drive damn well, too. For the most part. Then there's the looks, of course. Now I'm a fan, and a V12 Vantage manual is one of my ultimate dream cars.

I'll take this over the ATS-V all day. Not even close. One is a sport sedan, the other a real luxury car with sporting capabilities. I'd gladly give up that last 10% of precision and dynamics the ATS might have for the AWD, stunning interior, greater room, refinement levels, and all-around usability the C43 offers.
Okay, the last one didn't go over well. Maybe people didn't feel like they had enough to pick from. This one will rectify that. We will use new intro 2018 models this go-round, of which there are plenty! Rules- 1) New cars only, must be CONFIRMED for 2018 MY. No 2019's, no 2017's, no upcoming models that aren't official yet. 2) Choices must be either ALL NEW or SIGNIFICANTLY updated. 3) Maximum of 5 choices. 4) These are your only vehicles. That's it!!

I think I have the gist of this. One is very close to what I already have- a Golf R. With DSG in Tornado Red A 997 C2S Coupe w/ 6MT in Atlas Grey This one would be at threshold of what I could afford, but I would happily stretch for a V8 F Type Roadster in British Green, of course Lastly would probably be an E46 M3 in Avus Blue
Really, no takers on this in 3 days?
