Ducati is joining the Future with Electric Bikes
I thought you are an engineer. Speed of sound is 767mph. No Harley rides at that speed So they can be heard way ahead of their arrival even though pipes are pointed backwards. The fact that they are louder when they get closer is attenuation of the waves in medium. The change in pitch is Doppler effect. Come on man, you can do better than that!

Forbes states this is the End of Apple!
How they claim that the cheapest iPhone is $1149 when iPhone XR is $750? Today's journalism at its best. But I agree, there is very little innovation last few years and people will keep their phones longer. Samsung has cheap phones for countries where people can't afford expensive, top of the line technology phones. I wonder though how much profit Samsung can get selling these phones.

It Ain't Easy...
I put almost 30k a year on my car, almost 100 mile a day commute. Unfortunately, my department doesn't allow working from home even though plenty of days I could do it. No way I could use public transportation either.

Sad but true. I live in NJ and unless my kids when grow up stay in NJ, I don't see myself retiring here.

Industry News: NADA's CEO is Concerned About Consumers Being Priced Out
The only problem with CPO or lightly used cars, is that everyone who is looking to get a nice CPO vehicle depends on all the people you guys criticize for taking hugely expensive loans and leases. So if everybody will be "smart" consumer than there will be not enough used cars. Actually, due to the high prices the used car market is already became worse. i think the biggest jump in prices happened when active safety became expected and mandated. It significantly raised the prices of even base vehicles, raised prices of repair and therefore the insurance. You guys can bitch about "you don't need all that stuff" you are "excellent drivers" etc, etc, but the fact is these devices work and save lives, which is their purpose. Same as it was with seat belts, better, more expensive car structure, air bags. All these previous safety features added to the cost of vehicles as well. historically Also, I thought this is an auto enthusiast forum, but it seems to me most people here are perfectly fine driving crappy old appliances. Believe me, I understand living within you own means, I have family and bills. However, I think if you are a car enthusiast than sometimes you need to make some different choices than everyday consumer. Just my $0.02

I think it looks awesome and I love how aggressive it looks. Personally , though I would prefer probably the GT350.

I want to love it but somehow the external looks just don't do it for me. Still, with that engine should be a fun and fast crossover.

Afterthoughts: The Joys and Perils of Replacing Headlights
I recently had to replace light bulbs on my car which requires either removing front wheel (or turning it but it leaves very limited space for work) and removing part of the fasteners of the inner plastic guard and partially removing it. In addition, on the right side to change the fog light I had either remove washer fluid tank or remove bottom guard and use tight space between the tank and the light bulb assembly. Also, the mechanism that holds the light bulb is very tricky to operate and partially broke off due to the fact it is made from plastic and is over 8 years old. So changing a freaking light bulbs took me over a half a day and me using a major portion of curse words I know in four languages. It truly buffets me why something simple and supposedly prone to burning out like a light will be engineered in a such stupid way.

Everything looks and sounds great except the glued-in iPad. I think they could have done better integrating it on a brand new design.

CES 2019: Harley-Davidson Livewire
It would be really interesting if somebody will do a comparison when Livewire comes out with the Zero. Probably the only thing HD has over Zero is dealer network, and I think it looks a little but better. But it costs double.

Besides being domestic, there is not many Buicks that appeal to me over Acura today to be honest. Not talking about muscle era. I doubt current GS is better than TLX with V6 and SH-AWD. I like Buick Enclave and might take it over the MDX, need to drive it once, and I like the Tour X but it is no performer and probably will be gone next year.
