I don't want a car salesman or for that matter a waiter to "kiss my ass". I think that is a distorted point of view on their job. I just don't want them to try to screw me up in the case of a car salesman. Unfortunately, there is a fair amount of dishonest salesmen that cause a bad perception of the general public. But being in a service industry or just being in the job working with people is very tough.

The only brand they have that is "interesting" and have something different to bring to US market is Citroen

I have to agree with @ccap41. Looks wise I think Infiniti is much better, especially rear IMPO. I like ATS sedan a lot but I never liked how they did the coupe personally. I think the rear quarter looks very awkward. Not crazy about the kink in the rear windows but otherwise the design and lines are much more cohesive in Q60.

I am a big Mustang fan and this exact one hopefully will find a place on my driveway in a few years but interior is not even close to the Lexus interior. On the other hand the Lexus costs almost double but it is not even close to being that much better. However, people buying car like that are not about value for their money IMO.

I think it is the first Lexus with predator grill that I actually like how it looks. Interior looks great. It is great GT car but it is not a sports car. Watched yesterday new episode of Top Gear were they actually reviewed this Lexus LC500 and then put it against Honda Civic type R on a track. Civic was easily keeping up with the Lexus on track. As many other reviews said it is a great GT car but it is not a sports car.

They are not doing it to save few cents on the cost of the badge. They are doing it to improve the image of the brand.

I thought there is a system similar to a Carfax, because when a car is repaired by a dealer or some bigger private garage, the problem usually is entered into a system and recorded. The question is if it is reported to some sort of national database.

Yes, I am familiar with true delta but again it is based on the feedback from the owners of cars, therefore IMO it has same issue as CR statistics, probably even worse since CR has more members

Consumer Reports gets a lot of flak (a lot of it justifiably, some of it is not) for their ratings. Are there any websites that have actual repair statistics data for different models that accessible to general public?

My friends had S60 from that era. Didn't drive it that much too but the amount of problems they had with it was pretty incredible. I think turned them off from Volvo forever.
