SATURN AURA RADIATES STYLE, REFINEMENT
(now that I've finally taken the time to read all the info...) Overall, I think this is a great car, and it will do very well for Saturn. Dissapointments: -no true manual tranny -they need to find a better looking way to put on a sat. radio antenna.

SATURN AURA RADIATES STYLE, REFINEMENT
Lutz already said that Saturns would look exactly like the Opels, so that's not likely...

"GM's Quality Quandry"
great article. I went into it expecting another biased GM-bashing article, but it's actually quite good. I bet GM is horribly embarrassed by those minivans, though...

1998 Saturn SL1
Has the ignition problem been fixed? If you've had it a while, and it didn't do it at first, you might try new keys. If you give the dealer parts dept your VIN and proof of ownership (drivers liscense that matches insurance papers, for example), they will cut you a key to factory specs instead of doing the regular key copying that wal-mart does. They key cut at Saturn is only a few bucks, and took care of the hard-to-turn ignition for me.

COBALT SALES DOING GREAT!
Is the HHR built alongside the Cobalt? If not, and we're just expanding to see how the platform is selling, lets add the Ion sales in there.

Edmunds: Long-Term Test: 2006 Mitsu Eclipse GT
all I've seen driving these so far is women. It's really starting to get an image of "chick car" for me. 2 service engine soon lights in under 10K? Needed new spark plugs?

Suzuki Swift -Anyone know if its coming Stateside?
that's a neat little car. A lot better looking than the Aveo. :(

The 2007 Saturn Aura
I agree that it would be silly not to have a regular 4 cyl version available eventually, but I wouldn't put the 2.2L in there, just the 2.4L.

Avenger pic?
that's a good looking concept

The 2007 Saturn Aura
...many car owners aren't interested in "smoking" other cars. Might as well have a version that can cruise down the road nicely, a version that has solid git up & go, and a model that can smoke most of the other midsize sedans out there.

The 2007 Saturn Aura
I'd hate to see the 2.2L I4 (140hp) in the Aura (just too weak), but I think it could be ok with the 2.4L I4 (170hp). I'd guess a greenline version would be simmilar to the Vue GL - based off the 2.4L.

American bills with colour?
Actually, IIRC, it was only green on the back, and black & white on the front.

Tulsa Transit Enlists GM Hybrid Bus
Yeah. Just for fun, let's play with math again. (mainly because gas jumped to like $2.70-2.80 here recently, and I'm bored and occasionally like to play with math) 2.2L Vue, 4 spd Auto: 22/27 mpg - average used in calcs - 24.5 mpg 2.4L Vue GL, 4 spd Auto: 27/32 mpg - average used in calcs - 29.5 mpg (2.4L in the Ion uses 87 octane, so we can assume the GL will too - something I forgot to check before. fuel cost per gallon figured as equal) The premium for the GreenLine has been stated at approx $1,500 and approx $2,000 in different press releases, so we'll play with some differences there, too. to make my life easier, I threw the calculations into excel. In case the above picture doesn't show up later on, and/or for a more detailed look at the calculations, click here: http://spocnorth.com/HowToSite/KnowledgeGu...neGreenline.htm

The 2007 Saturn Aura
This ONE picture we have is pretty crappy. A nighttime photo with a lot of grey... few cars look good like that. Wait for more photos before whailing about what a terrible catastrophie the Aura is... It does need the gap above the bar back, though.

American bills with colour?
google'd & found this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._ten_dollar_bill red & yellow background color - probably ends up looking kinda pink.

Saturn offering Preview Pix on Your Cell
link gave me a 404 within the saturn site, not that I'd pay for the pictures. *shrug*

Not a lot of local stuff I'm familiar with, but I know of a great semi-small band, The Echoing Green. http://www.echocentral.com/

97 Grand AM 3100
I had 180K on my 3100 Corsica when the tranny went out out-of-state and it got junkyarded. Engine still ran very strong, and I never had a problem during the couple years I had it. Check NADA and Kelley Blue Book guides for appropriate pricing, but it should be a solid car.

Yeah, I think those calculations were at $2.50/gallon. Of course, if the battery packs prove not to have a long life, then it may not work out so well, but we'll have to see about that. 'Course for that $1,500 you also get another 30 hp, since it uses the 2.4L ecotec instead of the 2.2L. I can understand the cynicism, though - simmilar calculations done for the Prius showed a break-even point somewhere around 200K miles.
