  1. If you want to get picky, a couple of months is as close to 7 months as a year is. 7months - 2 months = 5 months 12 months - 7 months = 5 months. You just seem strangely defensive about it. No one really cares.
  2. 7 months is almost a year?

will be interesting to see how it turns out...
  4. Why? just because 74% of all statistics are made up?
  5. another interesting CR slam article http://www.auto123.com/en/info/news/news,v...rtid=58024&pg=1 Not nearly the slap in the face as Miss Queen's comments, but still...
  6. I had a '94 corsica w/3100 and it ran great. Tranny went out out of state & we didn't get it fixed, but the engine still ran awesome - 180K miles.
  7. The Saturn lights might be a little bigger than the Buicks, but you're right, they're very simmilar (if not the same ) The shape is certainly appropriate for Saturn, since it's just part of the Opel look, but the simmilarities in headlights might be a point of critisism later on.
  8. The Ion isn't as bad as many of you are making them out to be. I can understand people not liking the styling I guess, and the center mount speedo/tach. Other than that and the polymer, it's a Cobalt. I think a lot of people are falling into the "someone told me it's ugly, so I think so too" category.
  9. still saddens me not to have something more like the s-series. 100 hp/40 mpg hwy. Actually, a number of people with teh 124hp engine can get the 40 mpg highway, too, though they're EPA rated at 35 highway.
  10. Lutz seemed pretty clear that the Saturn's would be built in NA. That said, the Saab built Astras wouldn't have any real relevance to the Saturn versions, unless it mean Saab would contribute to the design. (how much do Saab & Opel already cooperate on design? IDK) It would just mean that European Opel Astras would be Saab-built.

maybe it's fast in a straight line (well, doubtful)... but let's see you autox it! lol

glad you're ok. Went through some nasty hail & rain 2 nights ago while driving. Was glad to see no dents in my car when I checked it later. I would guess it wasn't quite golf-ball sized hail. Cell-phone sized hail, eh? Hope they're small phones!
  13. I assume they just moved the letters - it's not hard to do. IIRC, you just use a heat gun to warm the adhesive, then move them. Might need new adhesive, not sure. Find out from someone who knows better before doing anything, but I think that's the basic idea.
  14. biggest saturn evar! Looks decent from what we can see.. which isn't a ton. Has the opel-style headlights, though.
  15. I believe they started forming this deal right after GM sold off their Sub stock. BTW, it's announced: http://www.forbes.com/technology/feeds/ap/.../ap2589927.html Will be producing around 100K Camry's a year. The article has a mistake, though - they left out that the plant also produces the Tribeca.
  16. would/will be nice to have the diesels as an option.
  17. I had this with an accounting class. Once, one of the TA's (an american girl) substituted for the accented prof. We learned ten times as much, and got out of class 30 minutes early. It's good to have a smart teacher, but if you can't understand what the heck they're saying, it doesn't do any good.
  18. I thought my new avatar pic was appropriate, considering the news.
  19. I learn something every day...
  20. there are lots of other advantages beyond the hp to the RL/SS SC. IMO, if someone is serious about having a performance car, the money is worth it.
  21. The Redline/SS SC (maybe the non/SC SS, not sure) have different axles & such from the regular Ion/Cobalt, so it's not just the lug pattern that's different. People who want to drop the 2.0L into their 2.2L Ion/Cobalt are quickly dissapointed when they find out just how much is different.
  22. I thought that might play into it, too, but wasn't sure if the stuff at the stations was "beefier" enough that it wouldn't matter. *shrug* Though to have the stuff in addition to the regular, it might not be a matter of replacing tanks & pumps so much as adding an additional setup. Still not cheap, but I think overall it'd still be worth it, especially if almost all new cars can handle E85 a few years from now.
  23. Why do the stations have to have different tanks/fuel lines? Just for the added capacity as opposed to having it instead of something else?
