as each day goes by, I think Pontiacs days are numbered. I don't think there is much, if anything in the pipe right now. rather than a beheading, a la Olds, i think it's going to be via starvation over the next several years. they may get a lat minute reprieve, but that won't be decided for quite some time.

whether by design or hapanstance, GM is confusing the market with their release and cancellation of vehicles for Pontiac. Bonneville - GXP offered with NS. then cancelled? GTO - brilliant performance car with vanilla styling, ruined in the market by the name. (too much baggage) Pontiac continues to talk about going after BMW. First vehicle off the line after that comment is the Montana SV6?? G6 comes to market with new name, No 4cyl, no coupe, convert delayed. Solstice - brilliant. but where is the trunk space? Torrent - rebadge after saying no more rebadges G5 - rebadge after no more rebadges

no one knows the 'exact' date. it's too far in the future. but look for a debut of NG CTS at 2007 NAIAS. with cars on the street fall 2007. look for spy shots prior to that. as for NG CTS-V, I'd guess a year after that.

cost of new interior after a few years is how much? I don't think an interior update is going to drive sales enough to justify the spend. Aura will (if done right) capture those potential lost sales plus take some from the Camcord crowd - something G6 has a harder time doing.

is the new interior confirmed? given that CTS and SRX share current interiors, is it the same interior that is going to be in NG CTS? If so, that will be an improvement.

i disagree.NG CTS is hot!! seeing early sketches might make people wait to by NG, thus affecting current sales. (it is that good!) NAIAS is a good 7-9 months before they'll be on the street, and there will likely be some spy shtos before then. (get that CD/BP???)
