I just re-read Rising Sun
I'm not forcing anything on you. Though, I think you should at least go there and experience it yourself before saying the culture repels you. Also, last time I checked.. Rising Sun is a novel and like so many books of fiction, certain things are exaggerated by the author to create more drama. The crowded places, small places, and "ant colony mentality" is not necessarily desired by the Japanese people but needed due to overpopulation. Japan is a small country and people cram into large cities like Tokyo because that's where the jobs are located. The rest of the country is very mountainous and beautiful. I hope to go there one day. Video games? You're blaming them for video games? The US is just as responsible for making them popular. Illegal business practices are not a Japanese exclusive. Look at Enron, the oil industry, etc.. In almost every industrialized nation, you are going to have companies that have questionable methods to making money. Your arguments are extremely biased and unfair. Sure, the Japanese still promote whaling (which I am very much against) and are very aggressive with their industry especially in the US... However, America is no saint. Just look through the history books. Many people in other nations view America the same way you do, but a lot of those people have never set foot in our nation. Do you think their dislike is fair? Probably not. I know I can't change your mind but I think if you ever had a chance to visit Japan, you should. You might change your opinion if you did.

I just re-read Rising Sun
I think you should focus your dislike away from the Japanese and face it toward a country and a people that seriously want to do us harm.. like...well.. pick almost any country in the middle east and there you have it. The Japanese people love American culture. They can't get enough of us and our entertainment. Japan's industry hasn't been as friendly to American industry, but they're using methods that were developed by American economists and the fact that their products were of high quality and business models were extremely efficient only forced US companies to do the same.. which is good for the consumer. You should thank Japan, not hate.

Popups...
Do you want us to blame you? It sounds like it. Okay. You did it Josh! This whole "woe is me" act has become tiring. Next time, keep it to yourself. I don't think I can roll my eyes anymore. At least the problem is fixed... hopefully.

2008 Malibu spied!
Nothing wrong with that. In fact, the update of the HHR will most likely have the same front end as the concept. The new Malibu is shaping up to be a beautiful sedan that shows us that GM has been studying Toyota and Honda closely. The side profile gives me a new Camry vibe to it. Though, the huge ass grille will certainly not confuse this vehicle with it's competitors. The Ford and DCX execs must be S#*@ing their pants after seeing how serious GM is getting with taking on Japan's big three. Makes the Fusion and new Sebring look very half-assed from what little I've seen so far. Which is a good start in my opinion.

My Internet Explorer pop-up blocker is working overtime. Who was the member that did this again? I didn't catch the name.

Spied: 2008 Nissan Armada
Wow.. that interior is a lot better. Looks like Nissan is finally working on it's quality issues. Well.. asthetically speaking.

Are you more courteous to Domestic drivers?
No. It always depends on how they drive. If they act like A**holes, then I will make sure they know that's what I think of them. No road rage though.

2007 9-3 Interior
Actually, that's the same steering wheel that Saab has used for a while now. Look closely. The GM parts bin version is much rounder. Also, that three spoke steering wheel design is really popular right now. Toyota, Mazda, and a few other automakers are using that style as well. Taillights will look the same as the current 9-3 from the initial photos. Most of the "updates" were inside.... if that's what you would call this.

Volkswagenwerk
I know I'm , but didn't Hitler help design the original Beetle or at least set it in motion? Interesting how that psychopath had something to do with one of the best selling cars of all time.

C&G Design Exclusive - More 2008 Cadillac CTS
TED's rendering looks pretty good. Looks very similar to the one from last week and it being based on the spy photos, that's probably the closest rendering out there. I love the new set up in the rear. Keeps a lot of the same Cadillac cues but makes it look very elegant at the same time. Good Job as always TED! The two drawings look good and the interior looks pretty spot-on especially when you piece the 60 minutes photos and recent interior spy photo together. You certainly put a lot of detail into your drawings American_Revolution! Good job everyone.

C&G Moments in Time
Looking back, I think he had a lot of problems but he would also troll. Certainly got a lot of people talking about him. I think the TCC post may have been created by someone else too as a joke. Who knows. Wonder what he's up to right now... well.. not really.

Happy birthday CadillacFan
Thanks guys. I thought you forgot about me. I cried myself to sleep last night in the corner of my room but now I don't want to kill myself anymore because you remembered! Woo hoo!! Haha. Just kidding. Now, I'm going to go drinking every night this week... legally! Then I'm going to drive around town drunk off my ass because it's totally legal now.... right?

I didn't put that into account. That could also explain why the stripes are still there. Interesting. Magic Zebras will always hold a place in my heart. They're awesome!!!

Guilty Pleasures
My list: Chevy HHR... Hated it from the photos.. driven one at night and loved it's interior.. that freakin light in the ceiling that lights up the dash at night is so cool. I don't know why. VW Golf.... the new one. Something about it looks cool. Though, I'll never own one because it's most likely a piece of crap that will be in the shop most of the time getting repairs. Infiniti G35 sedan and coupe. just cool to look at and from what I've heard, really fun to drive.

....
Don't worry.. they were probably dead a long time before GM skinned them to put on their prototypes. Although, now that I think about it, they were most likely skinned alive because everyone knows that Zebras lose their stripes after they are murdered...... wait.....maybe that goes for tigers... doesn't matter. All you need to know is that they died a horrible, horrible death. You really can't tell what the logo is if, that's what it is. I doubt GM would put badges on their vehicles(especially new ones) when testing Although, who knows. Can you confirm or deny that Mr. Doane?

Earnings Preview: General Motors Corp.
True, but I think with all the recent bad press Toyota has been getting with the recalls, the fact that GM's getting it's act together (albeit slowly), and the prospect of a merger with Renault/Nissan, GM's stock value will only continue to rise. Meanwhile, some Toyota shareholders are losing confidence in the company's economic stability, and that's saying a lot about a company as "perfect" as Toyota. Do I think the drop will continue? No, but at least we know that Toyota isn't going to destroy the American automotive industry as fast as some people are predicting.

I told ya so!
Exactly. The imports have an unfair advantage in the US. I'm not surprised this happened sooner.

C&G First Look - 07 Silverado/Sierra
I'm getting a strong F-150 vibe from the GMC. I'm not to impressed with these photos. I'll wait until the official unveiling in a month or so.

Why Lock A Topic Because Doane Asks For It?
Well obviously you didn't do any of those. But when someone is making an accusation.. it should make sense.

Why Lock A Topic Because Doane Asks For It?
Josh, all you have done is alienate yourself from the rest of the website by constantly complaining that everyone is against you. If that "knowitall" person turns out to be you, you truly have too much time on your hands. You want to talk about slander? (the word you used in the aformentioned thread to describe Chris's actions...and turns out to be the wrong word to use in referring to print and photos.. that's libel) what about you saying that Fly is selling out to Autoblog? That sounds like an accusation without any evidence whatsover. Sounds like you need to pay attention to your own words from now on. I think it's time to leave. You clearly aren't happy here.. and in the process, you're pissing almost everybody off.
