WSJ: "39% of GM's 4Q Sales Were Fleet"
I'm not shocked but still very dissapointed. Until more attractive sedans come out... it will stay this way.

2006/07 Production Schedule
Cool. The Aura starts production on my birthday. So I can have a Birthday/Aura celebration.

Happy 20th Birthday, Variance!
You can just hop over the border into canada. That's what I do. I know you're not as close as I am but I'm sure it would take a few hours to get there for you.

Chipotle Restaurants...?
I heard about Chipotle yesterday on NPR for the first time because they were discussing the stock increase. We don't have anything like it around here. We only have fast food mexican chains and a few locally own(and really authentic) mexican food restaurants in this area. One chain that is only located in this area is very similar to Taco Bell.. but in a lot of ways.. better. Haven't been there in a while. I'm staying away from Mexican fast food for a good year and 1/2. Mighty Taco Another one is Baja Fish Taco.. which I guess is really authentic. The best Mexican food I've ever had was at El Cholo's in Santa Monica, CA about 5 years back. It was sooo good. el cholo

Hey LosAngeles
His sig is a joke that was used by Dave Chappelle.

Saw this today...
The only Lexus hatches that I've seen have had Ontario plates on them. So..they must be really popular in canada.

Chicago Auto Show Saturn Debut
I doubt GM would do that. They would've tried to advertise the hell out of that Aura if it really was production since it would be the nicest sedan GM has made for the $21,000-$25,000 range.

Guess Who's 29, Today?
Wow! SOOOO OLD!! Hahah. Just kidding. I've got two siblings that are ready to hit the three-oh mark or have already passed it so I'm not hating. My other two siblings have a few years to go until they reach that mark too. And yes.. I know you still have a year to go before you get there. Happy Birthday man!

Single disc navigation
CDs are going to be phased out within the next 10-15 years. If not sooner. It's a technology that doesn't compete with the online music business and the majority of the albums that have been released over the past decade include one or two hit singles per CD.. while the rest of the CD is total crap. People don't want to pay $17 for two songs because that's what you're paying for.

Opel, Saturn could share flagship...
Name recognition. Sure, people remember Opel when it was here all those years ago.. but those people are baby boomers and I'm sure GM is aiming Saturn to appeal to the X & Y generations (the ones who will have the most influence on the by the end of the decade and for several decades to come. Why rename an already moderately known brand and have to spend millions dollars on advertising so people become aware of it? Hey, if Hyundai can be taken seriously... think of what Saturn can accomplish with it's new cars. If this flagship story is accurate... No one would laugh at the idea of a $50,000+ flagship. The way they can avoid a phaeton-like disaster is to slowly introduce more expensive models over a 10-15 year period. Not immediately like VW did.

Or XM radio. GM is probably going to really push that in the SUVs.

Kobe scores 81 - ALL by himself.
Well, Unfortunately I didn't watch it.. and even if I was planning on doing that.. my cable provider doesn't have TSN but every once in a while.. one of the Canadian stations uses their expertise. Kobe is really raking in the points. I'm sure the rest of the Lakers aren't too happy he's taking away the glory of winning the game but at least he brings results. Oh.. by the way.. Awesome sig. One of the funniest Dave Chappelle bits.

Langues?
7 years of French.. and I still don't know the language. Starting next year.. I hope to start Chinese (either Cantonese or Mandarin...whatever my college is teaching) I hope to visit the country one day. I want to be a little prepared when I do.

Very Cool Citroen Commercial
It's Napoleon Dynamite gone automobile.

Buick & Lucerne
While I tend to agree with you.. when you consider where GM's interiors were five years ago.. this a huge step forward.

Yeah.... anyway... did anyone else watch the new Battlestar Galactica last night. I knew all along they weren't going to abort Sharron's baby. just taking this post to the next level of absurdity.

New Opel GT
In march like it usually is. Though, I do think we'll probably see it before then. Also.. when you see the GT.. just remember that the SKY redline will probably look like it...(with or without the hard top and with Saturn badges)

Spoke w/Chevy Guy at LA Auto Show - Disturbing!
The fact that this person also signed on under a different name to make it look like people agree with him is just sad. Some people need serious help. Trolling it easier for you at Autoweek or Autoblog. No one will let you here.

.....
The real question is.. can GM come out with a better Truck then Toyota? We'll see.. but it's going to be extremely close...especially seeing this. It looks damn mean.

First Nissan loved the ION sedan,
It's really funny that the Ion was used for inspiration. It was somewhat of an original design when it came out.. so I think that's one reason why they're flocking to this theme. Just watch though.. all the journalists that bashed the Ion's styline are going to love the Sentra and Civic because of their "original" styling.

ULS
Um... I really can't agree on what you said there with the CTS and SRX. Why in the hell would cadillac drop their highest selling vehicle... with the exception of the escalade?

2006 NAIAS: Chevrolet Tahoe Two-Mode Full Hybrid
Cadillacfan replied to Northstar's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)People should be free to drive what they want. If the government starts forcing us to drive compact cars because environmentalist groups don't like them.. then why don't we just let them make all of our decisions for us. You're entitled to your opinion.. but people in the US and Canada are free to drive whatever the hell they want.. even if you don't like it. Beauty of democracy. Back on topic... GM should keep pumping out hybrid SUVs.. and not just for the GMT900. Give the trailblazer a little boost in sales before it goes bye-bye in a few years. The Equinox would do well with the same hybrid system the VUE has. The Torrent.... well.. the Torrent can burn in hell! If you can't tell.. I'm not a fan of the torrent. It's badge engineering at it's worst.. and before people ask... yes.. I have sat in it and driven it.. and it's exactly the same as the Equinox in the flesh with the exception of the red gauges.

Cadillac Announces Pricing For 2007 Escalade
I could do without all that black. I hope that when the mid-cycle refresh comes.. the centerstack radio/hvac unit will at least get wood paneling to make it seem like it was built for the vehicle
