Ow my ears! Those pictures are a bit old. I think we probably will see that in the US under saturn in order to compete with the upcoming Volvo hardtop convertable that's coming to our shores soon. Don't be surprised of it being very different from the Astra since all that will be shared between two compact cars is styling.

GM hasn't been getting lean with it's brands. It cut most of it's subidiaries off but the brands need serious trimming. Oldsmobile, although many don't agree was acutally a good step. GM couldn't fix it so they needed to cut it. GM has hinted the same for Pontiac and Buick. If they can't fix them, they're better off not wasting anyone's time. Though, I'd prefer that it not come to that. We don't each brand to get the same vehicle. Each brand should have unique product. No overlaping. Marketing is the least of the problems in GM. The main problem is no sense of direction. No leadership.

There's a lot of room under that hood to spare. Hmmm..... :AH-HA_wink: I don't know. I'm just guessing. V-series Escalade sounds nice. With a supercharged L92 engine giving it around 450 horsepower. So sweet. Looks like they raised the height of the 3rd row seats a bit. That will make it a little less uncomfortable sitting in back. Still, they should've just scraped the 3rd row and left it to the ESV.

The flaw is that you don't talk about GM's need to produce outstanding vehicles. If they make attractive, high quality vehicles, GM wouldn't have to worry about handing out cash to people and clever marketing schemes. People would buy GM because they liked what they saw. When GM has a really high selling volume vehicle that everyone has to buy, then they can impliment all these dealer programs. Not before. It would be a waste of time. A lot of Toyota dealers are notorious for being picky and downright rude to their potential customers and yet people buy their cars because they have the preception of having higher quality. GM is ranking higher then ever in quality and reliability surveys , but that's not going to help them get conquest sales back from toyota. People have already bought the idea that if it's foreign, it's surperior. They need to focus on making great looking vehicles. Styling is key. Unique product is key.

I think Chevy should've gotten the Lambda over GMC too. I think once people stop buying SUVs, GMC should keep offering body-on-frame vehicles for contractors and people involved in construction since that's what they're used for anyway. But since GMC is already getting the Lambda, Chevy should not, under any circumstances recieve one. I think we may see the next Equinox grow in size to compensate for the Trailblazer's exit. Look at what Toyota is doing with the Rav4 and the Highlander. They're both growing in size and I think GM is following suit.

Toyota's certainly rubbing it in. Sure, it looks like a bowl of mazda flavored jello on wheels but it certainly is better looking then the Camry and it will sell even better then before. I only hope the malibu is a good as the press said it is going to be.

I think I'll wait until I see the new Navigator in person before I believe it will trump the Escalade.

I thought the Europeans were too good and intelligent for big, bulky, and gas guzzling SUVs. I guess if they make them, it's alright! I also find it funny that there is a demand for the 9-7x in Europe and soon they will be exporting them there. Isn't that vehicle inferior too? What is the world coming to? Hypocrites. If they gave the G6 a solstice-like interior but not an exact copy since it would take away from the roadster's unique look. Then use higher grade materials and added more tech-features. It would be pretty sweet. Then give the tail end some more attractive tail-lights. Possibly smaller.

Seeing how good the Solstice with the hardtop looked, I can't wait to see what a sky might look like.

Well, the main problem with the G6 is that it wasn't a very good effort on GM's part. It is a very non-descript vehicle and the interior, although better then previous GM efforts, just wasn't up to par. The Lucerne on the other hand is much nicer and much more attractive.

Better then the minivans GM or Ford ever put out though since it's a Kia, I would assume the dealers will have a lot of owners visiting in the next few months and years waiting for their vans to be fixed.

People will complain that it's FWD only even though, the Toyota Avalon which is it's competition is strictly FWD. It's okay for them though. Toyota's not evil like GM is.

Hey, add some shag carpeting and we will have party. I agree when saying the carbon fiber dash is not cool. I would have preferred an brushed aluminum piece instead and make the interior look more sporty and exotic to make it tie it in with the exterior theme.

I was mostly reinforcing LosAngeles' post in saying that the N-word is just a variation of the spanish word Negro. The way you stated it made it sound as though you thought it wasn't that bad. Of course that's not what you meant by it, but some people, may not have really understand the context of your last post. The word Jap is different. It's not seen universally to those in the US as a racist word which is unfortunate. I think the word became commonplace around WWII as an insult when talking about the Japanese and stuck with the youger generations. Some see it as bad while others don't see a problem with it. It's mostly because there is a very small Japanese minority in comparison to African Americans in this country, and unfortunately less of a voice against that word.

In response to CSpec's post: Yes. You're right about it being a Yaris sedan. We probably would've gotten this as an echo replacement if it didn't totally bomb. The Yaris is the hatchback...ahem...5-door sedan version and will be toyota's second attempt in the U.S. sub-compact market.
