  1. So you suggest that GM ignore the sub-compact market altogether and build large RWD sedans that don't bring in high volume sales? Have you seen the 300, Charger, or Magnum on the top ten selling cars list? No. Because to most people, large RWD sedans are more impractical than sub-compact cars. Also, where do you get the idea that the next generation vehicles are going to be rebadges? They will be designed by GM and Daewoo. Not Daewoos being rebadged like now. These cars will actually look like chevys or suzukis. Like it or not, the Koreans know how to build good sub-compact cars. Although they may be cheaply put together in some cases, the rest of the time, they're pretty decent cars for people who cannot afford cars like the civic, cobalt, corolla, etc. and would rather not have to spend 50+ on gasolene every time they need to fill up the car. My aunt's husband lives near NYC and drives a kia rio, even though he could afford a much more expensive car(he and my aunt just bought a brand new Trailblazer EXT. He drives the kia because all he needs it for is driving to the train station every morning so he can go to work. He then takes the train from where they live all the way down to manhatten. If he decided to drive the car everyday, it would cost a ton of money for gas and for parking but he doesn't. Therefore, he doesn't need a big vehicle. The kia serves it's purpose well.

I think Lutz had a hand in that too. Shame it was never produced. He finally got his wish and got an attractive roadster working at GM. It's too bad everything else is going to hell.

Yeah Enzora. While some people may agree with you (not me).. the N-word is still socially unacceptable and will be for a long long time and it's just plain racist to say now a days. I know I will never use it.
  4. Very Audi-ish which was Saab's intent. If the Saab model looks this good (if that's really what it is) then I can't wait to see the real BRX!!! Though, when looked at it again... it doesn't have the same styling as the new 9-5. The lights are clearly current 9-3. This might be an old prototype or Saab's designers can't decide one what styling they like. In response to regfootball: 2008 isn't too long to wait. Just think, it's going to be 2006 in a month and one day but I do think these x-overs should've been out now or at least next year.
  5. This news is kind of old. It just restates what GM said it was going to do for a few months now.

Just like they abandoned night vision. Now everyone else is catching on and offering it. GM can't catch a break...nor get a clue.
  7. pffft......hahahahahahahahah!!!!! Oh man. That's hilarious.

At least we know what a Vauxhall/Opel version of the Holden Torrana concept would look like.
  9. FWD sportscar? I guess if Saab is engineering it, it's probably going to be good.
  10. That's probably because sales for all cars decrease in the Winter months and this is the dealer's attempt to keep them buying.
  11. $2.40 in Buffalo. When gas hit it's peak over the summer, this region had the 2nd highest gas prices in the US. Thanks New York state and Erie county taxes!!!!!

It would look that way with the new designs coming out of Toyota. It's going to be hard to tell the brands appart from eachother in a few years. It's entirely not true though. Lexus is the #1 selling luxury brand in the US. I don't think Toyota would get rid of it if it was that profitable. Unless Toyota is meeting it's promise and trying to "help" the American auto companies.....hahaha.. that would be hilarious.
  13. I actually like it. It's the only current Mercedes that doesn't look like a bloated Corolla. I see a lot of them around in my area and they're pretty hot in person.
  14. I thought European cars were way more environmentally friendly then their big bulky American counterparts. Hmm... Pretty sad that an H2 is safer on the environment then the TT. Having said that. I like the TT. It's a sweet car. It's sad really. These states are adopting Kyoto-like policies. Be thankful that the US hasn't done so or a lot of bad things will happen.
  15. Saab is going to break even soon according to GM so what would be the point of dropping it? What GM needs to do is continue to merge Buick, GMC, and Pontiac into one dealership and offer unique niche vehicles that aim at different parts of the market. They can do it but GM needs to hurry the hell up.
  16. How dare you question their integrity!!!!! It's freedom of speech! You're a fascist republican for asking why they don't question other brands and you like destroying the environment! ^_^
  17. I saw an eggshell white Lucerne a few weeks ago. I knew exactly what it was when I saw it. I have to be honest, I didn't really like the tail light design at first but lit-up, it looks classy.
  18. Well, seeing how the CTS pictures leaked on the net a few weeks back and only a few saw it, I'd say something similar will happen with the camaro. Though, GM has been very fast to respond.
  19. Looks better then any GMNA sedan currently on the market. I would definately like to see this over the Malibu.
  20. While the Civic is a nice compact sedan, there are plenty of other cars out there that are new this year that are much more impressive. No, I'm not saying that a GM product should've won, but I think that this story may have been a bit slanted towards Honda. I wouldn't be surprised if the Ridgeline wins best pickup since Motortrend's editors have already set it up to be that way.
  21. I understand that. But they've been on the money most of the time and like I said, the exterior shots are very similar to the spy shots we've seen. The interior may be another story.
  22. Poor Ion. It was the ugly duckling of the compact cars since the beginning. Now it's going to be sacked in a few years. From what I've heard from others, it's a pretty good car for the price. Too bad it's plagued with poor styling and cheap interior materials. Not to mention the center gauges that are only allowed to be considered cool and unique by the auto media in Toyota products. At least the aftermarket companies like it.
  23. Happy thanksgiving everyone. I found these on another website. I hope that the Vue will look exactly like this both inside and out. What a wonderful vehicle it would be! Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 It seems to match up with the spy pics so I'm confident that it will look like this. Enjoy.

I don't think GM would make them any different from eachother. It would be very pointless.
