  1. I own the XPS 720 and no you can't overclock using the Bios. I can overclock the processor only because I have a extreme edition CPU, otherwise no overclock. But maybe the new system is different. I also got an excellent price since I used dell's outlet, otherwise I'd have gone with HP's blackbird. I added a Xfx black edition 260 GTX, but if I were on a tighter budget the ATI 4850 is an amazing car and in reality not very far behind the 260 GTX.

I'm sure the car is mostly compete, just there was only a very limited market for it in a good economy and absolutely zero market for it in a bad one. Plus, Toyota marketing was expecting a good F1 performance which never happened. The eco weenies had nothing to do with the previous Camaro getting scrapped. And there is absolutely no room for a Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger.

You mean the LF-A? that was the last I ever heard about it, my guess if it ever goes into production it won't this year. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/...;mktid=cj260233 http://www.leftlanenews.com/tough-times-ha...html#more-13107 or are you referring to the joint Subaru/Toyota sports car?
  4. odd mine is a bit over 9yrs old and I have no plans on replacing it anytime soon.
  5. toyoguy replied to FUTURE_OF_GM's post in a topic in Toyota
You saw an ad? edmunds for years has hired people to find out invoice prices and manufacture incentives.and anyways the dealer had the factory rebate right on their website. why would I pray for that? So Toyota's profits are up 32% and all while they are spending $8000 to sell trucks?the Tundra isn't anywhere near as profitable as the Silverado/Sierra but that hardly means they are losing money. August incentives are fall below July's so wait till Tuesday's sales data for the answer. At this point Dodge is practically paying people to take their truck, I highly doubt it is turning much of a profit these days. If I were Dodge I'd wish I were selling the Tundra

the non-D4-S GR engine family has posted the best fuel economy in every comparision I've seen them in.
  7. toyoguy replied to FUTURE_OF_GM's post in a topic in Toyota
I think you are combining a story about an airplane with Honda execs worried about the then upcoming Lambda SUV's and a Toyota exec saying the new Sequoia is possibly too large
  8. toyoguy replied to FUTURE_OF_GM's post in a topic in Toyota
where did you hear that, cheersandgears?
  9. toyoguy replied to FUTURE_OF_GM's post in a topic in Toyota
apparently you care about it enough to participate in the Tundra threads you can tell that to Toyota who saw net profit increase 32% last quarter.
  10. toyoguy replied to FUTURE_OF_GM's post in a topic in Toyota
yeah they are 5000 units away from outselling the Dodge Ram which has a $6000 rebate on it. Or 0% for 60months
  11. toyoguy replied to FUTURE_OF_GM's post in a topic in Toyota
they had $1500 on the hood take a wild guess why GM increased the incentives to greater levels than Toyota's. Come Monday sales data for Toyota and GM will be released. up to 48months not 60mo and this is still all dependant on the customer's credit rating. what the dealer sells the Tundra for is their own business it has zero affect on how much money Toyota takes on the Tundra. Toyota dealers were plenty profitable before the Tundra went on sale. the only independant comparison which placed the Silverado ahead of the Tundra was C&D, because it is too much of a truck http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/12...ota-tundra.html MT, edmunds, CR, trailerboats and PM have prefered the Tundra
  12. toyoguy replied to FUTURE_OF_GM's post in a topic in Toyota
did you even visit the dealer's website, they even list Tundra's incentive there.FOG as a matter of fact the Tundra's rebates are smaller than GM's. so here are some FACTs Toyota gives $3000 cash GM gives $3500 or $4000 in cash Toyota offers 1.9% APR for a 5 year loan GM offers 1.9 APR for a 6 year loan another fact GM cut 1000 workers or the third shift at their Oshawa truck two days ago. here are more facts last July sales Silverado sales were off 26.5% (46,997) Avalance sales were off 35.4% (4,164) Sierra sales were off 27.9% (15,892) last June Silverado sales were off 26.4% (44,955) Avalanche sales were off 16.5% (4,327) Sierra sales were off 29.2% (15,187) here are what Tundra sales have been like since it went on sale, notice a trend Feb 9,669 Mar 13,196 Apr 14,200 May 17,727 June 21,727 July 23,150 did you really the average truck buyer cares about: 3 videos released by Ford a Toyota exec saying a small number of camshafts were failing a safety rating when 5000lb vehicle is run into a solid wall oh and from my experience I was down in Houston a week ago, I encountered the Tundra about 4 (probably 6 times) more frequently than the GMT-900 pickups here in west Texas the Tundra is about 1/3 as popular for now. In the next 6mo I expect to be seeing the Tundra as often as the GMT-900 pickups
  13. It's a lot more than the Accord. A vinyl V6 Passat goes for as much as a fully loaded V6 Accord. And the Passat's 280hp isn't SAE verified, you can go ahead and subtract 10hp to get its actual numbers.
  14. actually $24k should get you a V6 Accord
  15. toyoguy replied to Northstar's post in a topic in Toyota
CR liked the Silverado's ride, interior, and traction control systems they liked the Tundra's powertrain, disliked its 4wd setup, and it had some visibility issues. they did a three part series, Silverado won the first round, the overall victory went to the Tundra.
  16. toyoguy replied to Northstar's post in a topic in Toyota
The listed the tow ratings for the vehicles they tested. Towing wasn't the only criteria for the comparision and it was not the sole reason the Tundra won.
  17. toyoguy replied to Northstar's post in a topic in Toyota
What does E85 have to due with being green? No, the Tundra won MT's comparo.
  18. toyoguy replied to Northstar's post in a topic in Toyota
they tested a 5.7L Tundra, all 5.7L engines come from the factory with the tow package.
  19. no Toyota had a hybrid before Honda, and Honda doesn't offer a full hybrid.the RAV4-EV always had NiMH batteries and regenerative braking. and GM's NiMH battery originated from Toyota's Panasonic supplier who is no longer working with GM.
  20. you ought to re-check your definition of what a recall actually is.
  21. what recall?
  22. well looks like GM just joined the party. w/$3000 on the hood and another $1000 to the dealer
  23. toyoguy replied to Flybrian's post in a topic in Honda
you pointed out the irony, I fail to see how Toyota isn't doing anything interesting. so far the only interesting vehicle even testing at Honda is the new NSX which has been cancelled three times now. what's coming down the pipeline from Honda? an SH-awd TL and a V6 diesel, like anyone really cares.
  24. toyoguy replied to Flybrian's post in a topic in Honda
really? let's see what Toyota sells or is about to sell very shortly IS350, IS-f, Lf-A, LS460, LS600h, plug-in hybrid. let's see what GM sells or is about to sell CTS, CTS-V, Corvette, an inepensive V8 platform, no premium luxury car, and the untested Volt. tons of irony.
  25. toyoguy replied to Flybrian's post in a topic in Honda
how about build something worth owing.it's been RL, RDX, TL-S or Ridgeline. The only hits are the MDX, Fit and CRV. Congratulations to Honda for selling a couple cars to the ricer crowd. How about selling a Civic w/SH-awd and the RDX's 2.3L turbocharged I4, but that is asking too much. Honda apparently is content with a joke of a luxury brand, and some economy cars.
