  1. Yeah, but I am talking about the interior. Could you go for a dark blue interior in a LaCrosse...or a Lucerne for that matter....over, you guessed it, black, tan or grey?
  2. Or a Dodge Neon...to some extent.
  3. Mustang, Mustang...what are we going to do with you....a F O R D ???
  4. Thank you. I've been making that comparison all along...even more so with the big Phaeton that I caught up with on purpose on the 101 to see if it was a Lucerne. I think that cessation of the "all the way across taillamps" is fine, so long as there are other Buick cues. The next one they need to liberate themselves from is the oval grille (LaCrosse, Rainier, Rendezvous) - they can introduce some angular elements into their grilles and still pass for Buicks!

Can we cool the "lift up your t-shirt" photos? Let's give it a rest. I think the idea was "name-face" association!

  12. What a hoot -- to Walt's pictures! That Monte Carlo - unmistakable as an MC because it was the only one of the opera window family to NOT do an armrest....notice no gap in the front bench where a single armrest would fit. The get up - way cool - never owned a leather jacket, too warm where I hail from...but I did ultimately get a waist length black wool jacket when I moved to the Pac NW. Three out of four pictures in winter...the deciduous trees have shed their leaves. That's why Dad yanked us out of Teaneck (9 miles w. of NYC) since he wanted to be back where there were palm trees.

  14. Wow...so many references to what our parents drove or what they handed down to us.

  16. Are the images above carryovers from 2006... or is this what the 2007 car will look like? The satanic front end has got to go....it's a black eye for the car.
  17. If the colors are as shown above, what is the difference between the Deep Sapphire Blue and the Midnight Blue? Also, did you notice that the Lucerne is showing a "Tuxedo Blue" option for its interior? Buick really needs a blue in the stable for the LaX. Blue, if fairly dark, can be construed as a contemporary enough option. I think its the burgundies and the greens that SCREAM "old school" and GM will stay away from them (though burgundy is my favorite interior color for a car). I could definitely do a blue on blue LaCrosse...with a sportier grille.
  18. Just 1. 1992 Regal 3800 coupe Had 2 Cutlass Supremes as hand-me downs. Plan to buy new with GM Card proceeds fairly(sigh) soon

  21. NOT AGAIN!
  22. Agree and disagree. Most of the new colors are tacky and gross. Purple? Come on. Some nice blues would have been better. It will be interesting to see what the crimson is. Thank God they're keeping white - the best color for this car anyway. Yes. Lifestyle package is the folding front seat. They should just make it standard, like on the Malibu. I just wish they'd tweak the front end a little bit.

  24. How about a new front grille? That's what it REALLY needs. Hate to see the Glacier Blue go. They just needed to deepen it some. I hope the new fabric in the CX is better than the mousefur. Looks like the 3800 stays. Amen. So, Paulie, are you going to pop for this car???
  25. B I G H A I R (I know, I've used this before, but big hair is tacky)
