  7. As I stated in an earlier post, it is NOT...IMHO. The beach is virtually nonexistent. Had a slice of key lime pie and within 3 to 4 hours, we hit the road back up to Miami. The road down there over all the different keys is pretty stunning, though. Get some Cuban pastries and put on some dance music (which is inevitable in Florida) and the cruise control in the rented sled and you're ready.

  11. Chargerino, It's funny how you say I may do this and that...now, it's your folks that are taking you, right?

  15. Do her parents have a license plate frame that saysMY DAUGHTER AND MY MONEY GO TO T E Y X U S ? God, I hope not. Sidebar: it's actually a very respectable school, just too big...over 50,000 students.
  16. If you are going to go the Josh/Reg route, please, please wear a "raincoat." I've seen good plans derailed by one night of stupidity. Personally, I wouldn't. She's trouble, even though Josh and Reg's posts are funny.

  18. That's tough, Vipes. I'm sorry. Today I was at the office and another architect at work brought in this big black standard poodle. She's a gas. She's nuts about me because I will chase her around the office and roughhouse with her. On some many levels, they're better than people, aren't they? The time will come for another one. A lot of people do opt out when it comes to vet bills since they aren't humans, the bills can be extremely expensive and there's no insurance to cover them. Still, it's a tough pill to swallow. Chin up.
  19. Flybry: Was it an OLD person? It is The Sunshine State, after all. I trust you are ok -- the car can be fixed and its looks more like a crumple than something which cuts to the bone (of the car, that is). Let us know.

  25. Agreed.I may have expounded a bit much but from all you've told us, this is probably the best path. And you will definitely have the upper hand by giving her NO explanations. None whatsoever. You will have the last laugh. She doesn't seem to be a good person and you are evidently going places, so you don't need this kind of baggage in tow.
