  1. Outsourcing, we have already lost so many manufacturing jobs in this country. Bic, Bethlehem Steel, Whirlpool, and of course the many jobs cut by the big 3. And McDonald's doesn't count as job growth, loosing $25 and hour jobs means that $7.65 and hour cashier jobs won't cut it for those who have families etc.
  2. I like it, would be nice if it was bought here to replace the HHR since it is getting a little old.
  3. Looks good, sad that it isn't that close to the concept but this will still stand out in traffic enough to get people talking.
  4. I know why its one of a kind.... because is RWD LOL (ebay posting has it listed as such) P.S As the owner of an 85 Ciera, they arn't crappy cars, I just took mine on a 300 mile trip a few months back, very comfortable, no issues, and very good fuel economy. And who could hate that shag carpet!
  5. I hope this will free us development ability and cash to allow GM to build more relevant cars like the Invicta and Cruze. Maybe by removing the Hummer line GM can afford to have other big cars like the Park Avenue in the future?
  6. Longest 85 Cutlass Ciera 2004-current Shortest 1992 Bonneville Dec. 2005-March 2006.
  7. 10 best and worst value holders after 5 years.
  8. The more things change, the more GM stays the same. How many GM cars over the last 10 years have had stupid recalls like this?
  9. The rear looks a little too "safe" nothing really distinctive about it. Over all a nice looking small car that looks far better then the spy shots.
  10. Didn't the STE come only as a 4 dr? I notice a lot of a-body cars around, a lot of Cieras around here. I do pay more attention though because I have one (85 Cutlass Ciera Holiday coupe) in the garage.
  11. Well atleast our 2007 won't look old yet lol! This is among the most pathetic news out of GM in a long time, this isn't even a MCE its just a new bumper. Wheres the updated interior , etc?
  12. Looks too much like a Saturn Vue, though the tail fins are nice. Whats with these ugly fender vents on the new Caddys?
  13. Looks much more upscale then the current model.
  14. It doesn't even look like a Buick, looks more like a Hyundai with a nice interior! Seeing products like this, it brings comfort to know that GM can never drag the Oldsmobile name through the mud again like its doing right now with this Buick.
  15. I saw it, the old commercials they kept showing after each commercial were awesome, the whole program had an overall positive feel to it. Maybe after watching it more people will believe tht GM can pull this turnaround off.
  16. Maybe GM will buy it, they like to collect brands that loose money.
  17. Just on my block there are my 3 Oldsmobiles (Cutlass Ciera/Delta 88/Aurora) my neighbor has a Silhouette van, another person around the corner has a 95/96 Ciera SL, and a few doors down from them is another house with a 95 and a 01 Aurora. My aunt in NC has an 03 Alero 4dr, and until a few years ago there was a 1998 88LS and a Cutlass on the block. Almost everyone on my street at one time or another has owned an Oldsmobile.
  18. Ouch! The Buick Invicta/Chevy Cruise/Chevy Camaro and other new GM products can't get here fast enough. Seems like the oldest models (DTS/Lucerne/Impala/etc) are in a free fall.

I love that Jones Stuff, once I got one with an Oldsmobile on the label (the labels a various pictures and the Olds was parked in the background).
  20. I just found this link on yahoo, sadly the GM Hybrids are at the very bottom of the list in terms of value. See the chart/story here!
  21. Its great that McCain took time to even notice GM still exist, will all of the talk about our economy, there has been little talk of helping the US Auto Industry, which employs so many people.
  22. I like everything except the orange lamps in back, can't GM just do all red lamps?
  23. With only about 10% highway, the rest local roads (many back roads etc) 18.9mpg according to the DIC on my 2001 Aurora 3.5 with 86,000 miles
