I saw a 2dr E Class (only a few model years old) with 3 port holes on each side. I guess everyone wants to copy.... your grandfathers Electra 225?

Today I talked to a neighbor who has 2 Auroras ( a 2001 3.5 like mine and a 1995 V8), we talked about how much we love the Auroras. Later in the day I went to a local cruise in where I met a guy with an 87 Cutlass Supreme with 8,100 (not a typo) miles on it. Astro roof, power everything, V8, etc. What I'm getting at here is there are still many people who love Oldsmobile, I'm going to keep driving my Oldsmobles as long as I can!

Why does Pontiac offer the base model G6 (1SV) with the plastic hub caps etc? isn't that Chevy territory (entry level family car). Why doesn't the G5 have a turbo since Pontiac builds excitement? Wouldn't a G5 GXP bring some attention to the often over looked member of the Pontiac family?

Very nice! My dad loves the new 2007 G6 V6 we got in December, its quick with that 3.5L engine, and the chrome grille gets lots of comments. I really like the color you picked! Best of luck!

1. No though we do own a 93 LeSabre 2. Yes my goal is to finish college in 2 years and then my first major purchase with a real job, a new Buick (because they don't make Oldsmobile).

A lot of this is GM's own fault. For 30 years they build crappy cars (Aztek and Skylark anyone?) that people didn't want. While Toyota/Honda/Nissan and even Hyundai/Kia now ate GM's lunch, the General just sat there and tried to pawn off the cars like the old Cavalier as new models (remember that ugly face lift a few years back) and building engines that while reliable were no where near as smooth and quiet as the competition. Add onto this 30 years of blurring product lines to make Pontiacs that cost as much as Buicks and Chevrolets that cost more then Pontiacs etc as well as building boring cars ( nothing says I hate everything about cars like a Buick Century) Lastly its been predicted that gasoline would hit $4 since Katrina in 2005, who's fault is it that while Honda was building its green image, GM was building Yukon Denali XLs?

I've been saying for months now that GM needs to dump Hummer asap, its a waste of development money and energy. Lets see a world class Cobalt/G5 and a more powerful/fuel efficient Astra.

Why is the SS emblem so small? Why arn't they on the side of the car?

Were going to see that sale of Hummer, I don't think GM will close another established car brand as the bad press/ hard feelings from owners about Oldsmobile a few years ago has taught them a lesson. I think GMC should be cut back to industrial products and allow Buick/Chevrolet to offer the full size or not quite Cadillac SUV models.

Thanks all!! So far its been quiet, though things should pick up later when my friends get out of work etc. Of course I found time to play with the Oldsmobiles a little bit!

Everything looks great except the trim around the power window switch on the passenger door, looks kinda cheap compared to the rest of the interior.

1. No fake wood, it doesn't fool anyone except maybe the blind old guy looking at the used Century at the back of the used car lot. 2. Cheap interiors, how much would real paint for the G5/Cobalt arm rest (the silver) have added to the cost? Every one I've ever sat in has had the black plastic under the paint showing through the scratches. Toss the hard plastic into the dumpster. 3. Stick shift, why can't I get all G6 models with a stick shift? Why not the G8? Isn't Pontiac all about performance? Wouldn't stick shifts help fuel economy (Cafe ratings)? Wouldn't the Aura really live up to its Sport Sedan image if it offered a nice 6 speed for that 3.6L? 4. Buick line up, When even Mercury has more models then you, there is a problem. Why is there no Park Ave or a nice convertible to be a halo car? What about a stretched Solstice/Sky call it the Wildcat or Skylark. I want a Buick but not a huge 4dr or SUV, give me some choice!! 5. Why does the Aveo not get awesome fuel economy? Why buy that little $h! box when your old Civic is bigger and doesn't cost you any more on gas? The fact the the Aveo is neither great on gas or polished means to most people its invisible. 6. Hubcaps, Dear GM, the 1980's are now 20 years behind us. Please note that no one wants hubcaps, make alloys standard across the board except the least costly (read cheapest) Chevy models (Aveo/Cobalt). F.Y.I offering upgraded plastic hubcaps on the G5 is almost funny. Why are there 2 choices of plastic hubcap on the G5? Isn't one choice ugly enough? 7. Wheres the hood ornament? Mercedes has one, so does the Town Car, Rolls Royce, etc why doesn't Cadillac or Buick have a cool hood ornament? Not the cheap 80's ones that were too small to even notice, but a cool classy one that makes the car instantly recognizable!

GM needs to dump Hummer and put that money into Pontiac/Buick/GMC/Saturn, All Hummer has done is make GM seem stuck in the past.
