  1. The Traverse is irrelevant to the Journey. They are in a different size class, the Traverse is much bigger. The Journey is taking the spot of the SWB Caravan, the Durango is in the area of the Traverse. And the Chevy wins. The rear quarter feels very much like the Buick to me, more than the Saturn or GMC. All in all, I like the GMC best so far.
  2. Oh, look. It's the Ford Lambda. This is what the Traverse should be in spirit (with the sliding rears..) I don't think the V8 Explorer crowd will be too disappointed, that is more than enough power.
  3. Does this have anything to do with the new Sienna? I sure hope so, people will stay away in droves. . .
  4. There is an article about this in the December Motor Trend. Compared with the outgoing Magnum it would be about four inches shorter and two inches lower, but with almost 25% more load space. I like both GM and Mopar, with a slight lead by Mopar, but I couldn't quite get comfy with the Magnum. If the G8 wagon comes and is priced well I am all over it with no apologies to Dodge...
  5. I saw another one yesterday, silver or gray metallic. The stance is awesome.
  6. I'm not surprised that Ion sales are up, they are practically giving them away. A friend of mine just bought a 2007 Ion 2 with 0 % financing and a bunch of other incentives. I talked him into a new car (especially since his last one was a Saturn) because of year end and model end deals. Otherwise he was looking at a KIA!! I told him he might as well just have me punch him in the face, he would feel better about it later. . .
  7. I saw a 2008 Malibu this week out driving through town. I didn't get a close look, as it was in oncoming traffic on a 5-lane center divided street, but it stuck out! I recognized it immediately. Beige metallic in color with chrome rims. This is in small town Iowa, south of the capital, our local dealership doesn't even have any yet. Has anyone else seen one out on the streets and highways?

Heh, I Photoshopped such a thing back when the Megacab came out, great minds think alike. Aside from the semi wheels, this would be a great farm truck. . .
  9. I liked the old grille better. There are many, many cars I would choose over this, but I still think the Avalon is better than the Camry. .

The Super-8 was the concept in front of the Magnum and 300 if you hadn't noticed. . .
  11. My comment was only half in jest. . .
  12. So, we should limit the "free" trade to match input to output, and the countries we have a trade deficit with can cut us a check for the difference. Problem solved. I know it is about product, not government, but that hasn't stopped some people from meddling *japan koff koff*

I like both cars, for different reasons. But if you want a Hemi AND refinement, get the 300C. . .

Hey! I work in that orange building over there > That is very cool. Keep us updated
  15. What GM product is still on the road since 1983? I have been wracking my brains and I can't come up with it . . .

I like the interior just fine, and the exterior so far is miles ahead of the new Vue. This will be picking up the slack left by the loss of the SWB minivan. It is based off the Avenger platform, so figure the size to be similar. . .

Oh, look. The new G35 wagon.
  18. Remember: Rampage + 2 doors = Ridgeline :AH-HA_wink:
  19. It's ok, but I think it would look better with the crossbar on the lower third instead of the upper. Or in the middle. So, since this is taking the PT's place in the world, when does the convertible come?
  20. In all honesty, what does it matter? A sale is a sale, whether it goes to fleet, rental or retail. I know the non-retail is lower profit, but still important as those vehicles are used by people who buy retail. If the rental or fleet product is lousy, they won't go to a dealer of that product when it's time to buy for themselves. If I am given a company car that is reliable, stylish and user-friendly, I will want to own one for myself.

  22. They also mentioned the "car-based" platform. Sheesh.

  24. Also to think about besides pricing and size comparisons is STYLE. I think the CTS isn't that attractive, but would LOVE of drive a G8 with that engine. You have two different audiences with Cadillac and Pontiac, for the same power and price you won't be fighting for the same customers..
  25. What are they celebrating the 20th anniversary of? The Corolla has been around a lot longet than 20 years, Toyota is older than 20 years, heck, the Corolla has even been front-drive for more than 20 years. I don't get it. . .
