  1. It looks like someone took a bunch of pictures of a CTS, cut them up into several pieces, then glued them back together unevenly to make a new design. It wouldn't make a bad art project, but looks horrible as a car.

Wouldn't that be "get a garage!"?

Last night I saw two Rolls-Royces and a Maybach parked within a few feet of each other. There must have been some meeting of UNC's rich-ass alums around.

I went to Warped Tour a few weeks ago; that was fun, especially since I managed to snag a free ticket. Tonight I think I'm going to see a local band, because I know their bassist. And this Wednesday, I'm going to go see Paramore and My American Heart play in Raleigh. Oh, I also went to a house party where several bands played this summer, but I wasn't exactly there for the music, so I don't really remember any of them.

Well now that you mention it, you do have a tendency to offend my ribs by making me laugh until it hurts. Until you can learn to conduct yourself in a manner that isn't painfully funny, you should probably learn to act with more restraint.
  6. I could see the Solstice being a Buick though, and the Sky as a Pontiac. It might not fit in so well with current Buicks, but it does with my ideal Buick. It just has a jewel-like beauty to it that reminds me of the Velite.
  7. Ah, you beat me to it.
  8. Well, I've said this before, but I'll say it agian. Saturn. But the future Saturns would still live on. How? As Chevys. Now I know you're thinking "but Saturns are too upscale to sell as Chevys. Currently, this is true, perhaps. But it seems to me that the mainstream car market is moving towards higher and higher quality products, and eventually Saturn will end up butting heads with Chevy as it currently does with Buick and Pontiac. So why not just let Chevy leapfrog the competition with killer products now, instead of playing catch-up later? Second, to me, these Opels just remind me of Chevys. The Sky especially, since it looks like a baby Vette, and they even have a chrome bar in place already. The rest of the design may not seem classic Chevy enough for some, but I personally would rather take a beautiful design with fewer heritage cues than a half-assed design that tries to imitate a few 60s cues (which is how I see most of Chevy's current lineup.) They could leave it to Daezuki to cover the low end. Or even a Daeturn or Satwoo, if you prefer, since Suzuki's never been a particularly popular name in the US. But where would this leave Buick, Pontiac, and Saab? Well, honestly, in the same location they are now. Three brands trying to fill a gap where most companies don't even have one. But perhaps if they were able to focus more, we could go without having any more classic nameplates join Olds in the Great Beyond.
  9. Trying to increase its frat boy appeal? Zeta-Kappa, Zappa! They could get Moon Unit or Dweezil to be the spokesperson.
  10. Well, not necessarily pushrods. If it's a world-class engine, I'll take it, OHV or OHC. But RWD is a definite must.
  11. Zeta Chevy to replace the Impala. Zeta Pontiac. Two Zeta Buicks, one Velite-esque coupe/convertible, one sedan. Camaro, either on Zeta or a stretched Kappa. Can any of you find the underlying theme here that's more important than the specific models?

Nothing wrong with that, man. I'm 19 and I own the Lion King special edition DVD. It's a great movie with an amazing soundtrack, even though the new song was lame.

Where'd you find that? A lefty neck on a custom-cut right-handed body? That's freakin' insane! Oh, and I love just about any shade of blue. Silvery blues I'm not so crazy about, but just about anything else is great. A metallic blood red is also gorgeous, and of course black. I've never been fond of white, silver, tan, basically any neutral color (though tan is good if you're too lazy to wash your car) and yellow as well. But I just don't like yellow on much of anything. BUT I've always thought the mark of a truly beautiful design is if it can carry orange. Most cars can't, and look hideous with it, but the few that can pull it off, man, they're beautiful. This goes for any orange, from the metallic orange GM's been using to the tangerine on Lambos.
  14. Weren't the original minis fwd too? Trying to make one RWD sounds like a packaging nightmare to me. I guess it would be possible, but it would probably take a complete RWD lunatic to try it. Now I wonder where I can get one of those . . . .

How could a simple picture thread go so awry? :scans names of posters: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
  16. No wait, that would be my "drop all but five" list. For a serious one, hmm Isuzu the CSVs (replace the Chevy and maybe Saturn with good models) SSR & HHR (Sorry, just don't like retro, though CCR rocks :metal:) Ranier Monty
  17. Corvette, Sky, Solstice, XLR, GTO

  19. Methinks ocn's blown a fuse in his brain.
  20. Bitching about no Camaro. Bitching about the lack of product for Pontiac and Buick. (Alternate title: Bitching about Saturn) Bitching about how Toyota is the devil. Bitching about how FWD sucks. Bitching about how pushrod engines are just as good as their OHC counterparts.

Are you guys seeing something I'm not here with that Colorado that proves it's a mule? It looks like it just has the standard redneck aftermarket mods to me.
  22. Doesn't change the fact that the rendering is ass-ugly, though.
  23. Sweet holy hell! I hope that's insured.

Well, actually that was taken while i was standing on some playground equipment, but that kind of killed the epic feel, so it got cropped.
  25. All Bangle Bimmers have odd looking rears, but aside from that the 3, 5, 6, and refreshed 7-series are all good looking cars. The only thing about them is that I tend to think of the front fascia of a car as its face, and they have some funny expressions. The 7 looks sort of happy, the 5 looks pissed off, and the 6 just looks stoned. But the 1, x3, and z4 are total crap.
