what is up with that stuff around the HVAC its like black and white... but its ugly... well at least from what i can tell on their website... goto cadillac http://www.cadillac.com/cadillacjsp/model/....jsp?model=stsv and look at the interior gallery... wow, i dont know what that stuff is... perhaps it just looks better in person
  2. personally i'm not a huge fan of the new avalanche, it looks great, but it doesnt resemble an avalanche to me... to me an avalanche is rugged... this is too elegant... if thats even possible to be too elegant
  3. good read... gave me a few goose bumps here and there... well written and it came from the heart, you have had a rough couple of years it seems, but as you and I both hope, that GM's future looks as bright as a newborn baby. Take pride in yourself, take pride in your work, and take pride in GM. I could see those 3 lines on a car flag, hanging outside of my car...
  4. ron used to be GM's President of NA operations many years ago... durring the dark ages...

but steering wheels never got color emblems in the past... case and point look at all chevy and GMC logos on their steering wheels... but new GMT900's are color
  6. no if i remember correctly that was a different designers dream car... he designed it as his last masterpeice before he retired...
  7. solstice concept design wasnt under lutz's oversight... and i think the original viper was around before lutz was there at chrysler as well
  8. saturn sky...Lutz always wanted to make an affordable rwd convertable... and he couldnt for whatever reason at BMW or Chrysler
  9. if i remember correctly between the first 3 years of the camaro 67-69... GM sold over 600k units... (i'm not sure if that was f-body or just camaro... but if the formula is right it'll sell)
  10. the sad thing is... those dealerships get charged for every day after 100 days that that vehicle is on the lot... the banks dont find it very funny to keep their dollar extended like that...
  11. yea over at my honda dealer i always see an H2 or a Mustang GT out front... and they always sell withing a few days... but its typical... like for our dealership we put the nicest vehicle we have... maybe a corvette... right now we got a dropped astro van with some rims
  12. i agree... the H2... well it must be 2nd to something, without the H1, or something in its place... Hummer really isnt what its cracked up to be... its like taking the corvette away from Chevy... or taking the art & science away from cadillac... when you do that you dont have a brand image any more...
  13. we've got about 20 in stock now... and about 15 avalanches...but i really like the tahoe better... the suburban just seems kinda bloated, looks like it is trying to compete with the excursion... the avalanche, looks too clean cut... its supposed to be a rugged car, let the cadillac be clean, and let the chevy be 'off road ready'... not, 'just got out of a confrence'
  14. 1.3 million dollars worth of trucks is only a few vehicles... my dealership has over 20 million in new Chevy vehicles...
  15. i think this article is why i hate toyota... because it seems to suck the life out of the automotive industry, it takes the enthusiasm out...
  16. hrmm i always thought it was sports related, expecally football seeing that everything is done in yards... but that makes more sense
  17. I wonder why people pick german... are people proud of that heritage? I mean, my father is 1/2 german 1/2 hispanic, and my mom is a eruo mutt... but i always say i'm german... because thats what i look like... heck people even ask me if i'm from europe... but... anyone i know says they are german if they can find some roots back to germany somewhere in their family tree...

  19. nope... my fleet manager knows a guy who has one... GM made 25 of them, and i think 1 monte... and everything was the same except they were rwd...
  20. cadillac is volume based... and so far Cadillac sells the most Luxuary cars in america... (Luxuary cars being defined at vehicles sold at over 42k$) but what is important to have a Mercedies benz, for half the price with twice the reliablity... and Cadillac will succeed. but a new engine is needed... next generation cadillacs need a new v8 with over 400hp, and a v12 to throw in the mix.... we cant let the SL65 take the competition with its 604 hp... twin turboed v12... The most powerful production SL model from Mercedes-Benz, the SL65 offers a 604-horsepower twin-turbocharged V-12 and every AMG race-engineered component available. EngineAMG-built twin-turbocharged 6.0L SOHC 36-valve V-12 engine Net Power604 hp @ 4,800 rpm Net Torque738 lb-ft @ 2,000 - 4,000 rpm
  21. yea i agree... if you cant afford a regular car get a regualr used car...
  22. looks magnificant...
  23. the other day i asked my co worker which vehicle he liked better, his 330 or his GS? not quite sure what the number is on the GS... but he kinda thought about it, and said, well the lexus is really smooth, but i like driving the BMW better... his lease is up in a month or two, and he says hes probably going to get the 5series bmw... instead of another lexus
  24. well apparently in i think the year 2000 they made 25 rwd models... that way they werent liers when they promised people they'ed make a rwd impala...
