  1. Well, Big Ed did order Cadillac to build a RWD flagship back when he was calling the shots. It's anybody's guess if Akerson stepped in and muddied that while simultaneously being aloof and making asinine comments to the press.
  2. The first Odyssey was an Accord wagon on HGH. The G20 was a Sentra with leather. I don't think the J-bods was all that much worse.
  3. I'll bet the majority of people out there don't even remember the Skyhawk. Though I'm not sure on either Skyhawk or Skylark. It honestly doesn't matter - if the car is good it will sell and make a name for itself.
  4. Very true JB, and given that trucks still sell more than cars, that still translates to more fuel saved. But still, this is the right call. Don't rush the trucks to market. Take your time, GM, and get them right. The current GMT-900s will hold the fort down until they're ready.
  5. You'd be right if there were no such thing as the Regal or Verano, and Buick didn't spend millions of dollars on the whole "Sport Injected" campaign for the Regal. I could see this being a Verano GS. Of course - I wouldn't complain if this came over as a Chevy. GM seems pretty adamant about offering the Cruze as sedan only in the US, so maybe this could fill the gap.
  6. I think it's more likely that if it comes here it'll be wearing Buick duds. The Hdlden Cruz hatch probably makes more sense for Chevy.

Verano looks nice in person, but still the front 1/4 window is kind of a dealbreaker for me. Unfortunately, the two they had on display at NYIAS were locked.
  8. Yes, the current/outgoing Accent is available as a 3dr It was pretty much Hyundai's bottom feeder and allowed them to claim that they offer the lowest priced car in America.
  9. Most of the complaints about the design go away once you hear it running. They had it onstage idling during the press conference, and it sounded fantastic.
  10. Thanks - duly noted. Funny thing is, I knew that
  11. That was just my bluetooth keyboard apparently throwing a fit. It's fixed now. I'm with you - I think 3dr versions of both the Sonic and Accent would be quite attractive. If Mini does so well with its 2dr Cooper, I don't see why a decently built, attractive Hyundai or Chevy 3dr subcompact can't do well too.
