well anyway i upgrade my computer again i7 920 and an Asus p6t deluxe 2x SAS Hitachi 15k rpm 150 gb drives in raid 0 and 6gigs of ocz ddr3 @1800 mhz. and of course water cooled.... My goal is 4.5 ghz for it with hyper threading on. Due to a glitch in Microcenters warranty policy i was able to get the mobo and cpu for a nice price of $18 dollars.

Dell really has no more one off stuff they actually use Foxconn Motherboards. and they stoped making BTX computers. Gateway owns Emachine and Acer. Gateway since they damn near went bankrupt starting cutting quality before other things. thus recently have been known for Dieing motherboards and PSU's. There FX laptops are failing like no other too. search some computer forums and read about there motherboards failing. Wildmanjoe that link is a rather $h!ty computer. Nividia 9400 can barely convert a bluray. I try to build a rig for 800 give me time.

since dell owns alienware now I bet they will go to bestbuy. They are already for sale at MicroCenter which is a Dell retailer. They will never drop the xps name though. As they have the Studio XPS and xps laptop line. I loved my 1530 before i sold it to get my latitude. I love 14.1 15.4 are too bulky.

Well that was your problem you probably had a fluid change right? and the fluid was dirty and gritty? that dirt and grit kept friction in the trans to keep it together. once you put fresh fluid in it its only a matter of time till the clutch plates don't grip and slip. after 100k its almost best not to touch the trans until it dies or add a lucas stop slip i seen it give 2 years of life to a blown lumina trans. tranny work isnt hard just delicate and remember where everything went. just label everything!.
