Million-Dollar Ferrari Crashes in Malibu
From the L.A. Times: A driver lost control of a Ferrari sports car traveling 120 mph along Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu this morning, slamming into a power pole that cut the car — which sells for up to $1 million — in half, according to authorities. One man suffered minor injuries. He was identified as Stefan Erikssen, of Bel-Air, said Sgt. Philip Brooks of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The sports car went airborne and struck a power pole 5 to 10 feet off the ground, Brooks said. The car was demolished, but two air bags deployed. "You pay a million bucks for a car, you expect safety," Brooks said. Investigators said they believe the driver was alone in the car and was engaged in a street race at the time of the accident. Erikssen told them the driver of the car fled on foot, but a search turned up no one, Brooks said. Full article: Linky

Our Ports and the U.A.E.....
I'm not for isolationalism, but I wish our country's interaction, especially economically, with all countries in the Middle East would be minimized, so that our interests wouldn't be there. Not going to happen with this administration.

I think there was an analog clock. Also, when a truck had a tach, I think the fuel gauge moved over.

Buick planning up-level LaCrosse
A true waterfall grille extends up into the hood. I would consider the late '70's Cutlasses the quintessential example. I've felt that the ovoid grille is like pursed lips, a big pucker. The Velite-style will bring more character.

Saturn's rebirth vexes Chevy dealers
If there's any dealership group that should complain about Saturn, it's Pontiac (or B-P-G). Chevy gets plenty of attention already.

Lexus Mulls Small Crossover
I'm not a fan of SUVs, but more small ones rather than more big ones is good. The IS-based CUV will be a whole more interesting than yet another Camry-based SUV.

Chicago: 2007 Nissan Quest
I think those mini-mirrors on the concept may actually be cameras. As for the Quest remake, Nissan did a pretty good job especially if the materials are upgraded as claimed.
