Yukon Denali price Announced
The 4.8 liter engine can't be much cheaper to produce than the 5300. It got a small bump in power, but really, GM should get rid of it.

The "Rev"erend: Pastor Sells Church to Buy BMW
He had pretty expensive taste--a 750i.From the Modesto Bee: "Authorities have seized $357,000 from Radic's bank accounts and a 2006 BMW 750i they say he bought with money from the church sale. The money will go toward restitution among several people, including the couple who tried buy the church, lenders, title insurers and the church itself."

SRX
The thing is priced way too high compared to the competition (and the CTS), and it looks very station wagony, as mentioned above. In my brief drive of one, I wasn't very impressed. I preferred both the X5 and the new ML350, but I think normal cars are superior to all of these.

Crossfire Production May Be Cut by up to 2/3
The time for the Crossfire is over. The mechanicals (and the interior) are a generation behind. It's a nice drive, but it has terrible visibility in the hardtop.

Toyota Gives Camry Buyers Fraichir Fabric
Dan Neil has a review of the Camry Hybrid, and he mentions the Fraichir fabric in his review. http://www.latimes.com/technology/la-hy-ne...calendar-widget The review doesn't really seem like much of a review, but more of a description of the car.

Fly, I'm Coming Over 2/20!!
Did anyone catch Jimmy Kimmel last night? With Kid Rock driving Jimmy around Detroit in a cab? The show also has a tie-in to Pontiac right now.

Car Spotting
A nice '81 Cutlass Supreme coupe. A silver Honda Insight with red flames. A black Cadillac Catera with a fake convertible top.

2007 Chevrolet Avalanche
When the GMT800's came out, they were roundly criticized for being bland and evolutionary of the previous generation's styling. When the mid-cycle update occurred on the Silverado, there was nothing but criticism for the more aggressive front end. Now, GM is back to bland on the trucks. Perhaps GM should have been a little more aggressive with the Avalanche, or maybe the Silverado will be?

Jan 2006 Sales: General Motors Corp
Interesting that sales were up to the extent that they were. Maybe people were receptive to the decreases in MSRP, even though transaction prices probably didn't change all that much with the lower rebates and dealer certificates. The Colorado's drop of 50% is pretty brutal, but there's plenty of more capable players in the small truck market now.

You guy's remember that Saab commercial?
That's wild. And with lowly Isuzu Geminis/I-Marks/Geo Spectrums. If all that was shown in real-time, that's all the more impressive. I wonder how many cars got wrecked in filming all this. The music rocked.

Welcome to Brookville, Pa
I think the pics show pretty good composition.

2007 Chevrolet Avalanche
This is on my shortlist of next vehicle once they put in the 6-speed automatic for the 5300. I would have preferred a power window in the midgate over the current detachable window, though I recognize the benefit of keeping the window in and just folding down the lower portion. As for styling, I think that the new full-size trucks are clean-looking, but border on plain.

2007 Lexus ES350 - First Pics.
Overall, an ok effort, but could be better. The interior is somewhat feminine and plain looking. I like the interior of the outgoing model better. The exterior has that squashed roof look that Toyota seems to be adopting. My favorite ES exterior was the third generation.

Cadillac
That would be a very stylish way to go out and into the ground.

My Turn
An Integra would be a great choice, though insurance would probably be on the high side because these have a high loss history. A fourth generation Prelude, '92-96, would also be a good choice.

New car shopping...
Like ocnblu, I'd say the G6, but in GTP trim to get the hydraulic steering. Though related the Malibu, the G6 manages to be a lot more fun.

2007 Lexus ES350 - First Pics.
Lexus has the gold standard now in a cushy FWD near-lux vehicle, and this car is going to move the bar up a couple of notches. The last ES had two problems: bizarre styling (eyelids over the forehead look) and an overly floaty ride, but not terribly different from a DTS. From the small pics, the car appears attractive, but the same was initially said for the new Camry.

I'm pregnant
Congrats Satty. I would be scared to death, but I know you're up to it. You do seem to have a very good head on yourself, so I'm sure Satty Jr. (or Sattiette) will turn out okay.

Lexus Reveals 2007 LS 460
The dashboard is a slightly more adventurous design than the old model: The center stack does seem to attract too much attention to itself, but having the NAV screen recessed like that is practical.

My Turn
Of all the cars, I like the Subaru Impreza (# the best. The MX6 (#3)looks promising as well, as do the 240SX's. I'd say stay away from anything German as upkeep will cost you.

Buick Lucerne scores big
The Lucerne commercial in heavy rotation now is the one that focuses on the availability of a V-8. I find it interesting that they call it the "legendary Northstar" to emphasize the Cadillac engine. They show the CXL V-8, and the front fascia without the foglights just looks bad.

Hey LosAngeles
From an AP story: Among the Tribune stations that will join the new network are its flagship WGN in Chicago as well as WPIX in New York, and KTLA in Los Angeles. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...w&sn=004&sc=162

Hey LosAngeles
I never felt compelled to watch anything on either UPN or WB except for Star Trek Voyager on UPN.

Would you buy a V8 car?
Carpool...heh...That appears to be a '77 or '79 Impala.
