  1. My favorite of the bunch is the Rageous, though it needs to be toned down a bit. I don't remember the Protosport. It has a Chrysler cab-forward look about it. I saw the Aztek concept at the autoshow, and I thought it was the most hideous vehicle ever. It boggled my mind that someone would want to do a production version of it.

My brother used a stretched 911 for his wedding car. It was like this:
  3. Saw a bright yellow Chevy pickup earlier this week with matching yellow truck nuts.
  4. Great review. Very professional. The Colorado and Canyon have been punching bags for a lot of reasons, but what it all comes down to is GM built a merely adequate truck instead of a great truck.

Saw a black HHR today. I still think it looks spectacular. There's no other new car on the market that has me smitten like this.
  6. I'm not a Mitsu fan by any stretch of the imagination, but if they make the production Lancer look 90% like this, it will be the best-looking compact out there.
  7. The fourth generation F-body was supposed to be FWD by the end of the '80's, but that was killed due to spiraling costs, so the third generation lingered a few years longer than it should have.

Saw a Catera today. I can't remember the last time I saw one of those. And yet another Ridgeline.
  9. That wasn't exactly a great licensing move by GM.
  10. The concept cars do appear to forebode an attractive new corporate look for the cars. But that Outlander, it's incredibly bland. They threw a little X3 into the current Outlander.
  11. HP Athlon 2800+ 19" LCD
  12. The endorphin rush of the new car smell is worth any deleterious effect.
  13. It sounds great. I can't wait to see it myself. Power midgate window?
  14. No 6-speed automatic on the Tahoe yet. Only the 6.2 liter engine, which the Escalade will use, will initially have the 6-speed. It will supposedly eventually trickle down as production ramps up.
  15. I've seen one '06 Malibu on the streets so far. The body-color mirror is an improvement, but like everything else, it looks so half-assed with the cutline. The new steering wheel is an improvement, but it still manages to look so cheap. As much as I love the current MAXX, I think the next Malibu can't come soon enough.
  16. A reskinned aged Mercedes does little for the Chrysler brand. I don't see the Crossfire being an important halo vehicle. DCX should spend their resources on more important things. The Crossfire coupe has such large blind spots it's almost unsafe to drive.

reg, I like your choice of wheel. You cannot go wrong with simple, clean five-spoke wheels. This is one of my favorites:

The front looks similar, but I think the entire fascia has changed to make it less bulbous. The grill is larger and there's more of a bumper top. In back, the LED's are nice, though the entire taillight looks less interesting. Overall, not an exciting car to look at. I think the last generation Accord Coupe looked better.
  19. RWD. A performance car does not need a V-8. There are plenty of high-performance sixes out there that prove that. Automatics have gotten so good that they usually cannot be considered a major drawback to performance. A car with an automatic will not be as much fun, but I doubt most people will be able to wring the extra performance from the stick. I prefer a car without a blower, so there's none of that annoying turbo lag or supercharger whine. As for the Pontiac GP GXP, that car is no fun to me at all. It may have good straight-line acceleration and have good performance numbers, but being so nose-heavy, it just does not feel balanced at all, especially compared to its stablemate GTO.

Two things with this generation Grand Am totally ruined it for me--the ridiculous spoiler and the bulgy dashboard.
  21. The Raider looks better than the Dakota, though neither of these is really a beauty. The warranties are very different: The Raider gets 5 year/60,000 mile bumper-to-bumper coverage while the Dakota has a 3 year/36,000 mile bumper-to-bumper coverage and a 7 year/70,000 mile powertrain warranty.

Saw a red Ridgeline with a billet grille today. I'm seeing about one Ridgeline a day now.
  24. I think it'd look better with a tan interior. Every time I see the rear of the Sky, the location of the backup light bothers me. It's too low. They should have put a center exhaust there instead.
