thinking of buying an Achieva :D
I have "beater risk capital"! There are some very shady cars out there. For example: http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-c...QQAdIdZ53055902 O RLY? A pre-94 front clip (with chipping paint as a dead giveaway no less!)?

thinking of buying an Achieva :D
Achieva search update: Im going to look at a blue '95 tommorow morning. It is a V6, power everything S model (with wheels, not hubcaps ). Owner claims everything is in working order, including AC. Says he got it from an older couple 2 years ago, and has had no problems with it, but his family has outgrown it. One catch...the drivers side window is inoperative. As-is special, so Im gonna take a looksee anyhow. http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-c...QQAdIdZ53217189 BTW, I just missed out on (or did I? hahahha) another $500 1994 Purple Pearl Metallic Achieva. Same as the one that started this thread, but with a spoiler. It sold 3 hours before I got there. Im crazy. I do have a project plan in mind...so don't say anything. :AH-HA_wink: UPDATE 2: Saw the car, and liked it alot. Runs great. Everything works, AC blows cold, all power options function. Has remote lock and trunk release working great. Some minor rust along the bottom of the drivers door and a missing reflector on the passenger side rear. The drivers side window motor is dying. That would be the only major issue I found. The guy is willing to certify and etest, but the plates are already on his new ride. He got a Ford Windstar (has 3 young kids). If he can't work something out, I will just grab it as-is, and get that taken care of myself. We will see what happends tommorow.

That was a mistake

Use your tu lips, tell us please
OK, I have a really good sighting! So Im walking down the street near my home, and this crazy tiny white Japanese microcar drives by, and into the underground parking in the next building. Im like...WTF was that!??? A few days later, I see it again. So...did some digging online. Its a Nissan S-Cargo! According to WIKI, one of 12,000 made between 1989-1992! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_S-Cargo And heres the cool part. Its for sale (if its the same one I saw, probably is) $15,000 http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/car/693333147.html Too cool! Definately got my attention.

Parting is such Sweet Sorrow
Thats what I meant! Its LOW!!! Wow! Are you trading it in to the dealer? EDIT, never mind. I got caught up on the G5 thread. I'd give you $2500 cash if you were in Toronto. Im starting to give up on getting a decent Achieva lol.

Reason #421,572 why I hate TOYOTA
Of course, but (from my own experience, being as unbiased as possible) Im almost 3 times as likely to be cut of by a Camry or Corolla.

109,577 Kilometers!? !?

98 LeSabre
Just test-drove one like that on Sunday. Very smooth cars! My mom wants one. I actually prefer the pre-facelifted version (92-96).

Reason #421,572 why I hate TOYOTA
At least 65% of the time that I have been tailgated, cut of, or otherwise treated to unfriendly driving techniques, it is a Toyota as the offending vehicle. I call 'em Toyota drivers, and avoid them at all cost. Im not joking. The other 35%? Mostly Asian makes. The only really bad domestic cars with terrible drivers I encounter would be large SUVs and/or minivans. More often than not, someone driving an Impala, Neon, Fusion or whatever, will let me merge properly, and use their damn turn signals to show what the hell they are doing.

Use your tu lips, tell us please
The auto gods are messing with me today. While running erands, I spotted 5 Achievas, 3 of which were mint, driven by seniors. None of which were for sale.

Is it just me ...
Um, no. GMI was never as good as C&G, and never will be.
